Okay so this is a long one, here it goes! I brought my truck in here recently to have it inspected. They called me a couple hours later to tell me our truck had failed the inspection due to worn out control arms, steering link kits and a burnt out right rear drivers bulb and then proceeded to quote me just over $1800. Upon returning to their shop I had started my truck and noticed all rear lights were working fine and when I asked the service technician why all the lights were working now he told me "sometimes the bulb can heat up and the wires can melt and refuse back together" which kind of sounds like a load of fluff to me.So because of this, I decided to take upon myself to go to a couple other shops and have it looked at for other opinions. The first and second shop I took it to both said they were "not sure why mint auto told you control arms were having issues because your bushings are fine" it's only your ball joints. Ball joints are only with parts and labour a $1000 repair which would have costed me almost $1000.00 more than what I needed to spend. When I finally called back mint auto and got ahold of the service technician that put the part on my bill, he told me the reason why my control arms were messed up is because "the ball joints they get don't tend to fit the control arms very well and will eject them selves in 6 months". So the reason why I'm so upset with this company is because of their lack of transparency in the matter and instead of giving me options of just having the ball joints themselves fixed which I probably would have done, he slapped a full new control arm on my bill that would have costed me an additional $1000.00.The other side to this is when I asked for them reconcile the issue and provide me with A reimbursement on falsified claims of failing the inspection due to a part that had not failed they said there was nothing they would do for me.So all in all, I will not be recommending this company to anyone.
