    Met with ***** *** of law firm Paramount on Jan.9 2024 and signed contract for pro-bona work to investigate and seek compensation for mother abused in senior care facility. Paid $4000.0 to cover potential filing fees. Have never heard from her since, no accounting of fees, secondary lawyer, ***** ** wrote 2 letters and one filing, and has left. Emails, calls and messages left at firm go un-answered and no email or word from ***** ***. Called again today and told she is out of country.

    I have heard nothing back from this law firm, nor have I heard anything from BBB regarding this or what action you are taking to return the money they hold, or to even get accounting statements. I also do not see that you have done anything to reduce the rating of this business or to warn other consumers of their actions. Am I correct to assume your protect the business because they pay you rather than the consumer? It seems a long time not to have a warning to consumers about this firm. What action have and are you taking to rectify this?

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I have yet to receive word from  Ms. *** or this business regarding the return of the funds, or any form of accounting to explain where the $4,000.0  is. In the note to BBB it states the funds will be returned and accounting provided to me but this has not happened. No effort has been made to contact me or resolve this situation. As well, Ms *** continues to work at the firm and was the person who was suppose to be handling and overseeing this case so it is an incorrect to state there was no one at the firm take my case.

    On March 31 I picked up a cheque from Paramount Law for most of the funds I had paid in advance. Although I am thankful for the refund, the lies and misrepresentation continue. Ms. *** claims that there is no one there to handle my case yet she was the principal lawyer who stated she would be handling this case, that she had all the knowledge and connections to ensure a resolution to my complaint. As stated earlier, I never heard from her again and she continues to represent herself as an advocate for seniors, and an experienced lawyer, yet she failed my mother and the other client I referred to her on all fronts. Additionally, it has taken over a year for me to get the accounting and refund of these fees and not without contacting the BBB and *****************************. No way should she and her firm have an A+ rating from BBB and there must be a warning to others to be wary of what she states she is competent to do in her  law practices. She prayed on the vulnerability and suffering of seniors and their family and that is very wrong.
