Where to begin. Enrolled and began in CyberSecurity Specialist course in March 2021. It started out ok, although connecting with admin or support was difficult and it showed early on.
Ill just list what happened.
Found out that CDI is not accredited until after. (my fault for not doing my research)
Was told funding would more than cover my expenses while I attended. (it isnt even close)
Certification vouchers for our industry were not given to us. A select few got some but most didnt even know they were there.
For the last 4 months of our course, we had no instructor. No live classes. Nothing. As students we would talk amongst ourselves to keep moving forward in hopes CDI would at least let us know what was going on.
The practicum I took, didnt even implement 1 single part of what I was taught. Was like taking a pair of skates to go to the mall. It just didnt fit.
The price for books is beyond ridiculous, especially when I was able to find the exact ones online for free for the first 4 months of this course. Ya, FREE.
SInce I completed the non-accredited course, I have applied at nearly 200 places and job postings online.
Not a single followup or interview.
Then, a possible employer on a business platform told me I might have better luck if I took CDI credentials OFF my resume.
The disappointment and disbelief has nearly crushed my hope for a brighter future.
Do NOT enroll at CDI or any other 'school for profit' owned by the ******* *****.Initial Complaint

I enrolled in the Medical Office Administration online program in September. Due to unforeseen circumstances I have to drop out of the course. I completed 7.7% of my course at the time I withdrew from the program. I was quoted that I would have to pay back $4400 which is 25%. Yesterday I received a final notice of repayment that I owe $9744.60. I am not sure how someone got to that number but that is not 25% of the course cost. To receive a final notice of repayment and that I will be sent to collections is beyond ridiculous especially when I have not received any email or letters with an invoice or how to pay my fees. I have worked really hard to get my credit score to where it is now and I would hate for this to bring my score down. Not to mention I received a message that **** sent the money to the college and now I owe them as well. I have attached the calculations that I was provided to this email. July 21 2022 I was looking for career change and looked at a Cyber Specialist course that was advertised on ******. I reached out to the phone number and spoke with a Mr. ***** ******* Asst Director of Admissions. I was informed that the course would cost over C$30,000 and that I could apply for a student loan. The process went along and I did not qualify for the student loan. I duly wrote to them and dropped out of the course. They sent me a withdrawal form which I duly signed and I thought The matter was over. They are now demanding over C$1900 as penalty without any explanations. I have refused to pay as I have not been given any details. I am reaching out to you for help in resolving this matter. I do not understand why I should pay I was not even allowed to attend orientation while the loan process was going onInitial Complaint

I started with CDI online college, with a letter giving me fees and stated the amount for books. Then the total. When the course began there was a problem with my st loans. One of their employees who helps with student loans helped me. It was done in correctly. I had to send in paperwork to get it fixed. I started the course a few weeks later. I inquired as to when we got our books, I was informed they were online. I explained to administrator that I needed hard books. I deal with anxiety and depression and I was still working full time. They said they would be sent out. They never did. Trying to do the reading required on a screen gave me panic attacks and migraines. I called to drop out. I explained that reading my books online is not doable. They promised to send the books out. I didn't know at the time that it was because I could of left by a certain time without having to pay it in full.
The program they used didn't work alot. We were locked out. And I enede up having a mental breakdown Trying to catch up. I was put on anti depressants. I hadn't received my st loans and it was 5 months into the course.
I found out CDI didn't file them. This ended up with multiple calls from them harassing me for their money. I explained that they hadn't sent in the paperwork. I have emails proving they knew and it still took them 2 more months.
I had booked flights to do my practicum in alberta so that I had the best chance at my career. I was in alberta one week before my practicum was supposed to start. They didn't find me one.
A fellow student did. At a daycare. I contacted them to ask for an explanation. Alot of excuses and then they wanted me to say they found the practicum.
At this time I was still waiting for our final test to be opened. We had 4 days to do it. They finally opened it after a week of emails to get it opened.
I have never received my books and the 1400 I owe them is in collections. I don't have a diploma to get a job.
I was a 95% plus student.Initial Complaint

I attended CDI online college from October 2021-sept 2022. I was working towards an accounting and payroll certification. Throughout the course we were told that if we fail a course, we would have one opportunity to retake it. I completed and passed every course and on the final course, I received a grade lower then %65 which left me without a payroll certification. I was told that I was not allowed to retake the course because the school decided to graduate me. I have yet to receive a diploma. I have been told they don’t know when I will receive it. I have been begging for my tax forms since February 2022 and was forced to file my taxes without any tuition forms leaving me owning quite a bit in taxes. After 8 months of begging for receipts for my tuition I am yet to receive them and keep being told it’s being looked into. I paid $16,000 to attend this school. The school changed the rules at the end of the course and would not allow me my 1 attempt to retake the exam and get my certification leaving my one year education worthless. They have not sent the diploma they claim I earned and refuse to send me a receipt for the tuition I have paid. This school is absolutely awful and not a school at all.Initial Complaint

I enrolled into CDI College Online in September 2021, as a student taking Medical Office Assistant ( MOA). I had nothing but big problems from day one. I couldn't get my books for the first two months of the course, I had to phone CDI Online Tech Support at least once a week or more, cause of the glitches in the program. CDI Online Tech Support try to fix what they could, often I was told it was a teacher issue. I email my teacher and never got a responds back ever, with any problem and concerns. If I got lucky and I did get a responds back from a teacher it would be 3 or 4 days later, which has happened three times at most. I had emailed MOA Online countless times to try to get help with the problems and concerns I had. I would get some responds back up until beginning of June, 2022. Then all communication had stopped and I'm still in the same situation as I was at the beginning of June.
The problems are that I couldn't get my books for the first two months of the course. I have to redo some modules, that I don't have access to. I ask MOA Online to open them back up and 2 or 3 at a time so I could complete the course and get the credits. And of course I never got a responds back. I was supposed to start my practicum July 24, 2022, and unfortunately I don't have all my credits in order to do the practicum. There is a track record of all the emails and phone calls I had made to CDI Collage, to the teacher, online campus and IT support. I payed lots of money for this course and CDI College has set me up for failure. There isn't enough room to complete my complaint in this pace. Look forward from a call from you, to explain more details.
I am looking for my money back so I go to a different collage and redo the course, and or retake the course with CDI without repaying books or tuition, and getting my originally payed grants as I still a full time student and still not working.
