Alert

In December 2021, BBB investigated Allee Construction following a consumer's inquiry concerning the legitimacy of an employment opportunity within the company.

The consumer supplied BBB with various documents to review during our investigation such as an Employment Contract, Government of Canada Labour Market Impact Assessment Application for Permanent Resident, Job Agreement Sign Off document, Medical Pre-Screening document and other marketing material outlining upcoming projects.

Below are listed the findings of BBB's investigation into Allee Construction:

  • BBB contacted and confirmed with the property management group overseeing leasing opportunities at 9915 108th Street Edmonton, AB that Allee Construction is neither a past or current tenant. The representative of the property management group informed BBB that the lower levels are occupied by health care services, while the upper levels are occupied by a sector of the Government of Canada. Allee Construction is not a tenant of the address as claimed on their website and/or other materials. The operating location of Allee Construction remains unknown.

  • In review of the company website, domain registration details indicated that the website had only been registered and created on August 23rd, 2021 with an unknown registrant. Amongst the information presented on the website, Allee Construction claimed to have been awarded a contract in collaboration with Bechtel, to build a self powered town in Alberta. BBB had contacted Bechtel, of which a representative denied any collaboration with Allee Construction and advised that there are no current or upcoming projects scheduled in Alberta.

  • In review of the documents supplied by the consumer, several findings had raised concern.
    1) One document outlined a comprehensive medical insurance policy under an American Life Insurance Company. BBB's research revealed the life insurance company was purchased in 2010 and no longer operates under this name.
    2) A Government of Canada Labour Market Impact Assessment application for permanent resident form supplied by the consumer contained a CRA business number which Allee Construction claimed as belonging to the business. BBB verified the CRA business number and discovered that it belongs to an unrelated Quebec based business that has been incorporated since 2008.

  • BBB conducted a search for provincial and federal registration/incorporation specific to "Allee Construction" or as sometimes referred to " Allee Contruction Group". Zero results were produced for either search.

BBB had attempted to reach Allee Construction to bring forward the findings of the investigation and give the business the opportunity to clarify points of concern and provide legitimate and verifiable information to support the company's legitimacy. The business was given a grace period of 10 days to respond. E-mails to date have gone without response, and calls incomplete as the phone number (587) 404 1223 when dialed, produce an automated service provider message indicating the number is not currently assigned.

Due to the above mentioned findings, and the lack of communication from the business, BBB cannot confirm the legitimacy of Allee Construction.

BBB urges the use of caution when considering a business that requires personal information, or banking information to be disclosed. We strongly encourage consumers to do their due diligence in verifying a business firsthand. Use caution when conducting business with a company who's address cannot be confirmed or determined.
