    *** passed away on feb 7'23, at an apartment managed by Ayre & Oxford inc who continued to use the electric account for several months without terminating which ran into the hundreds of dollars, charged for replacing appliances yet did not give valid reason why, nor will return phone calls about it. there has been several attempts to reach out and a promise from a one *****, that accounting, pictures and evidence will be forwarded and have not since may'23. The issue remaining is there are no funds to settle the account of a dead man, and the management company wants to pursue while the bankruptcy continues. there has been four months of electric utility charges from ***** to a dead man, whom they will not refrain from collection, even though they have the evidence. Both Ayre & Oxford and ***** appear to be making a claim on a dead man.

    Although  we appreciate your concerns and the enquiry, we are only able to communicate directly with an executer on the account to which the details of this complaint do not provide such authority. I do understand a final statement with some adjustment will be forthcoming. The matter of handling utilities in the event of  the lack of an executer or family member with a death certificate to act on behalf of the deceased to cancel when the unit remains vacant is under thorough review.
