    Hello,I am writing for a parking violation notice I received on May 27, 2025, while attending a class at *******************************. My class began at 10:00 AM, and I purchased a valid parking ticket at 9:57 AM purchased vide Receipt License Plate # ******, on the same day. The ticket was valid until midnight. Despite having paid for parking, I was issued a violation ticket # SE998B16091040 at 10:40 AM on May 27, 2025 for parking in a staff-designated area. However, I did not see any signage at the parking stall indicating that it was reserved for staff. As a new student at ******* in my second weekI was unfamiliar with the specific parking regulations and signage.I have already submitted an appeal regarding this violation, which was unfortunately denied. However, I would like to respectfully raise the following points for further consideration:I had a valid parking ticket prior to the issuance of the violation.I paid for parking and parked responsibly, with no intention to avoid payment or violate regulations.The violation occurred due to unclear or insufficient signage rather than willful misconduct.I did not receive a response within the stated 72-hour timeframe outlined in your policy.I have submitted photographs to Concord Parking as part of my initial appeal to demonstrate the lack of visible ********** a student, I am currently managing my expenses carefully, and such a penalty for an honest mistake is a significant burden. I have also learned that in similar cases involving genuine errors, fines have been waived or reduced.I respectfully request that you reconsider my case in light of the circumstances and the supporting documentation provided/attached.     I was parked on P3 of ************ for 2 hours and 40 minutes (from *********) on 26 May 2025 (I have my ****** Maps timeline showing the times I was at ************). I received a ticket for "Overtime - Parked over 3 hours" at 1321, despite being there for less than 3 hours. I have filed a dispute and have yet to receive a response. The evidence provided in the dispute screen only shows that I was parked there between 1321 and 1322, and does not show being parked for more than 3 hours.

    Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Wrongfully Issued Parking Violation Still Under Review I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a parking violation ticket I received during my visit to ******** on May 11th @12:34pm. Upon arrival, I immediately proceeded to pay for my parking, as I understand that parking is not complimentary in the area. However, while I was in the process of paying, a parking violation ticket was issued and placed on my vehicle. Both the parking ticket and the violation ticket are time-stamped at 12:34 PM, clearly demonstrating that I was in the process of paying when the citation was issued.I submitted a dispute for this ticket on May 11th, outlining the circumstances and providing the timestamped evidence. At that time, I was informed that I would receive a response within 72 hours. As of today, May 29th, the status of my dispute still reads in review, with no further communication or resolution provided.This delay is unacceptable and has caused undue stress and inconvenience, especially considering the violation was issued wrongfully.     I am rejecting this response because: My last rejection was for the BBB to keep this complaint on file so the next time they send something to collections prior to advising the customer of their final decision it can be dealt with. If all the BBB is going to do is shuffle my messages back and forth to and from Concord then the BBB is not a worthy watchdog for Companies or Customers.

    I paid the fine as i never requested not to pay, I requested a response to having collections call me and demand payment prior to having my request to Concord responded to. It took my contacting the BBB to get a response of any kind; and low and behold they responded 2hrs before I received your initial contact.

    If they had simply responded in a reasonable length of time I would have paid it at that point instead of going thru this debacle.

    I am writing to follow up on a parking violation I received recently and to provide further clarification regarding the ************ a new BCIT student, I hold a valid Flex Pass 10 parking permit that I purchased on April 17, 2025 (Receipt #******). On April 24, I parked my vehicle around 2:15 PM to attend class, but was unable to activate my daily pass immediately due to a dead phone. I managed to activate the Flex Pass at approximately 3:30 PM. Despite having a valid permit, I received a ticket for parking in a Staff Parking space. After filing an initial dispute on this matter, after 7 days, I received a response on May 1st stating that the violation was valid due to my supposed lack of a valid permit. I believe there might have been a misunderstanding regarding the signage in Lot 7, as I was under the impression that Flex Pass holders were allowed to park ******** clarify this point, I submitted a second dispute on May 2, including a photo of the sign that contributed to my misunderstanding. However, I have yet to receive a response regarding this appeal, and I noticed that the fine has increased from $65 to $85, even though I followed up within the discount period.I would like to respectfully highlight a few points for your consideration:- I maintained a valid student permit throughout this process.- My permit was activated on the same day of the incident.- The violation arose from a misunderstanding of the parking signage, rather than an intention to avoid payment.- My second submission seems to have been overlooked, and I did not receive feedback within the stated 72-hour response policy.- I understand that similar situations have occurred for other students where fines were either waived or reduced due to good-faith errors.I appreciate your attention to this matter and kindly request a review of my case.     I paid for parking at one of Concord Parkings site. The receipt says the location name and "Concord Parking" ****** on it and was given a ticket for non-payment. I disputed the ticket and was told that they do not accept payment through the app I used to pay for parking. I reached out to Concord Parking multiple times to check on the dispute and it took them 2 months to let me know about their decision only after I received a past due letter in the mail. Since it has been over 2 months the parking fine has doubled. So essentially I paid for parking and now am being double fined because they don't accept payment from the parking app used that clearly stated the location name and "Concord Parking." Feel like I got scammed.

    I parked in the garage at **** as I have done MANY times. Also as I've done MANY times, I selected the nearest pay by phone location and PAID. Fast forward to the end of class and I received a ticket. It appears I selected the wrong zone. I asked Concord if I could pay the parking fee to them instead of a $85 ticket. I'm a student and I simply don't have $85. This is an honest mistake. You can see the screenshot of my PaybyPhone showing I paid to park. i wasn't trying to cheat or not pay. I sent them this photo and their response doesn't even acknowledge it. It just says "Failure to make payment is a violation of the posted parking rules. As there was no valid payment in the payment system for your vehicle at BCIT - Downtown Campus on 3/25/2025 the issued violation is valid." How can a business that fails to recognize such an honest mistake write off my explanation and demand $85? The cost of parking 10 times! This is an honest mistake. A community oriented business should see that and adjust the ticket to the cost of parking or throw it out altogether.

    I am rejecting this response because you are not acknowledging any of the proof I provided. Your response simply says the ticket is valid. I am not arguing that the ticket is invalid. I am making the below arguments, none of which your response addresses:

    1. I made an effort to pay and simply selected the wrong zone. This shows I did not maliciously avoid paying but made an honest mistake.

    2. I have paid on numerous other occasions at your location, further demonstrating my intention to pay.

    3. Further to #2, this constitutes a first time offense and therefore could be a warning.

    4. I have let you know I don't have the financial resources to pay. Your payment site provides an all or nothing option. I do not have the ability to pay the full amount. I'm a student. My income is below the poverty line. I only drove to class because I work two jobs and it is the only way to get to job #2 (teaching at ****) on time.

    Hello there,

    BCIT has a strict policy for parkers without a valid payment as payment is mandatory for all BCIT locations. It is the customer's responsibility to have the correct parking details upon arrival and before leaving the vehicle unattended. The payment was made for City of Vancouver 05 Block ******* W/S - not a BCIT location. From the previous response, the regular rate for this parking violation was $85 and a discounted rate was issued at $65 by extending the deadline. 

    For a second time, we have extended the deadline for the discounted rate $65- for payments made before April 18th. 

    Due to the validity of this violation, $65 is the correct amount. 
    Respectfully, there are no further actions that can be taken regarding this matter - Notice #AV533F15462035, as this dispute will still be denied, and we are considering this matter as closed.

    I am rejecting this response because this is an honest mistake. I have literally never received a parking ticket in the entire 10 years I have lived at ***

    If, as you say, **** is the organization with the policy, kindly escalate my case to them. I'm an employee of **** trying to make ends meet by teaching a class. $65 is simply not reasonable because I am also a *** student. My stipend is $23,000 per year. This is below a living wage. I KNOW you have an ability to write off tickets in your system. I have worked in accounting including with parking companies for many years so DO NOT try to tell me this is not possible. You MUST have some allowance for write-offs and to reduce tickets in good faith. I was ******* to make it to a final presentation class to support BCIT students.

    If, as you say, this directive comes from BCIT, AND if, as you say, paying for parking is required I have offered to pay the correct parking rate. Prior to now I have used your garage at least 15 times. I'm now actively avoiding ANY CONCORD garages. 


    Kindly adjust my ticket to the cost of parking in the garage. Asking for $65 is outrageous, especially of someone who has shown your company patronage and proven that this is an honest mistake and not intentional non-payment. Any visit to an online forum would show that student actively rack up these kinds of tickets and then avoid recourse by changing their license plate. I'm trying to do the right thing here and pay you what I should have. You are showing extremely bad faith by demanding an amount that is 8 times that and equivalent to a days worth of food for me. I cannot and will not sacrifice eating for a day because you refuse to show compassion.

    Received a ticket on Mar28 at 10:21AM for the reason of not having a valid pass, however, the pass is paid until the end of March. Sent in a dispute with payment receipt but have received no response after a week time. Calling the company phone number cannot reach anyone at all.

    I was charged for a parking ticket on February 25, 2025 at 10:41 AM and I paid for parking. Unfortunately, a glitch in the payment system allowed for the first two letters of the license plate to be repeated, as is evidenced by the attached photo; the rest of the license number is correct. I paid 8 dollars for parking and have sent this dispute in several times and have never been contacted, despite the ticket saying that I'd be contacted within 72 hours. I need to use this parking lot for work, and cannot afford to be towed and I don't want this ticket dispute to go to collections while I wait for a response. I would appreciate this parking ticket being removed as I did pay for a spot. Thanks.
