On February 1, 2024, BBB was made aware that individuals are receiving work from RoseDale Masonry & Roofing.  The work being done from RoseDale Masonry & Roofing located in Burnaby, BC is not affiliated with RoseDale Masonry & Roofing in Ontario.  BBB has determined the work performed are from an imposter and not from RoseDale Masonry & Roofing which is located in Ontario.

The executive manager of RoseDale Masonry & Roofing located in Ontario informed BBB that their business’s name and location have been compromised and are being used by unauthorized individuals.

In one incident, before work was done, a consumer was asked to pay up front and during the job was asked to pay more than the agreed amount. The job was not to his satisfaction and reported they damaged the existing landscape.  This situation involved 2 Caucasian men with Irish accents.  Another consumer was approached by a worker working in the neighborhood offering asphalt services and can provide a reduction in price because they already have the equipment.  The client did not see any work being done in her neighborhood but before she could think about it, the subcontractor arrived the next day and demanded to be paid before the job began.  She felt pressured and paid about half of the money, $5000, to start the work and again work was subpar. She was then advised that he was subcontracted and the owner had not paid him so he expected the client to pay the rest of the money and if she did not, threatened they would put a lien on her home if not paid.  In both of these situations the consumers were handed a brochure with the company address and phone number but they were not able to contact the business by phone.

BBB confirmed that the address at 201 Kensington Ave, Burnaby, BC listed on their brochure and contract where RoseDale Masonry & Roofing claims to be located is occupied by another business.

On February 8, BBB also attempted to contact RoseDale Masonry & Roofing by calling 672-272-1441 listed on the contract.  BBB was not able to leave a message.
