On May 12, 2023, Eli Beauty came to the attention of BBB through our BBB scam tracker report.  At that time a consumer reported not being happy with the services received.  She alleged the hairdresser caused damage to her hair and had to spend out of pocket expenses to repair the damage. She also alleged the person had certifications and training to perform the services.  In BC, hairstylists do not need to be licensed. 

On May 26. 2023, BBB also attempted to contact Eli Beauty by calling 604-906-4020 to obtain updated information including a contact person, her start date, and what licensing or certifications she has in place. In addition BBB also requested confirmation of the physical locations and mailing address. BBB was not able to leave a message and as of June 9, 2023, BBB has not heard from the business.
