On September 26, 2019 BBB received a Scam Tracker report about Viaxiom Technology Inc. This report outlined an employment scam involving Bitcoin transactions conducted through the victims personal bank account. BBB began investigating Viaxiom Technology Inc as a result of this Scam Tracker report. BBB has requested information from Viaxiom Technology Inc about the services they offer, the actual location of the company office as well as the nature of the companies operations, but have received no response.
BBB confirmed that the company does not operate from the 1 Boston Place address listed on the company website. This was confirmed with the property manager for 1 Boston Place on September 30, 2019. The address in Richmond is a residential address, and is the registered address of a company with a very similar name, but the names are different
BBB has been unable to confirm corporate
registration for a company operating with the name Viaxiom Technology Inc either in BC or federally.
The website for Viaxiom Technology Inc was registered on June 2, 2019, and
the registration has been anonymized so that a whois search cannot reveal the
location or identity of the registrant.
On September 29 and October 17, 2019, BBB called the phone number on file. The voicemail was full, and there was no opportunity to leave a message. Emails sent to the company have not been returned.
On October 18, 2019 BBB received another Scam Tracker report about Viaxiom Technology Inc. This report involved being told to implement software on a bitcoin ATM. BBB confirmed with the bitcoin ATM owner that Viaxiom Technology Inc was not authorized to implement any software on their bitcoin ATMs.
