BBB received several  Scam Tracker reports about William LLP from a consumer on June 15, 2021. The consumer received an unsolicited letter from William LLP about settling an insurance claim. After the Scam Tracker report, BBB started an investigation and reached out to the The Law Society of BC. The Law Society of BC confirmed on June 16, 2021 that the business and its website is a scam.
BBB also reached out to the business with letters on June 17, 2021to get information about their licensing.

As of July 21, 2021, BBB has not received a response from William LLP. The website for the company, https://www.williamsedllp.com/index.html is still active.

BBB is recommending consumers to check the Law Society of BC’s website https://www.lawsociety.bc.ca/ to get information on licensed lawyers and legal assistance.
