      Telus has made it nearly impossible to contact a live customer service representative. Their toll-free number is buried so deep in its website and app that it took a half hour just to find the number, then had to go through their AI phone assistant to determine what I already knewthat I needed to talk to a representative. I was then put on hold for nearly an hour. When I finally got through, the rep said they werent actually able to do what I was asking and transferred me to another department. Ive now been on hold for some timeyet again.Making it this hard to contact customer service should be illegal. Canadians are paying exorbitant amounts for Telus services, so Telus should have an obligation to provide easily accessible customer support. If I - a reasonably tech savvy person - have this much difficulty getting help, I shudder to think of how this would go for my parents, who are in their 70s.TELUS needs to do better.

      Terrible customer service! I needed a copy of my home security certificate for insurance purposes. In the past I would log into my Telus account and print it off. Not anymore. On their website said if you need this to contact ***** number. That's what I did on day 1. I was on hold for 45 min. When I finally spoke with someone and explained what I needed she said she had to transfer my call. I was cut off. Day 2. I contacted them again using the number on their website. Again I'm on hold for another 45 min. then finally speech with someone answering all the same questions only being told she has to transfer my call. On hold again for 20 min. then I speak with someone from the tech department, again answering all the same question and again told my call would transferred to I think it was customer care. Again on hold forever and again asked all the same questions then finally told they would email a copy of the certificate. Why did it take me 2 days the get this when before I could access it myself. In my view Telus is totally incompetent and it is obvious they do not value me as a customer and don't care about the run a round they give their customers.[]======9-+

      3 years ago l had done a co-sign on a new plan for my son to be able to get his own phone and plan. The plan was a bring back plan but on a business plan. My sons phone contract was up over a year ago and was on a bring back plan. So over a year now my son returned the phone and started a new plan and return the old phone and phone number. Not knowing that the old account was not close as the telus rep told him it was closed and there was nothing left to do. With all this being said now 6 months later l receive a phone call from Collections.telling me l have to pay 775 dollars do to the fact that l have open bill with telus. Telus sent the bill to collections with out Notifying, me of this so called paid off account and not this problem is affecting my credit and l am forced to paid a bill that telus did not do there job from the first place. I am a 20 plus client and not pleased with the way they treat there long term clients.

      Long time Telus customer. In January 2023 signed up for home internet/tv service. The service has always been almost non existent when it rains and became even worse during the warm weather we recently experienced in *******,******. On wednesday july 31/2024 my internet quit working completely,spent 2 hours on the phone on july 31/2024 to try to resolve the problem but to no avail. The representative scheduled an appointment for 9:00am MDT,on august 2/2024,according to the confirmation text that I received on july 31/2024,it said the technician would arrive at 9:00am MDT and provide a phone call a half hour before arriving(this is telus company policy according to the representative that I talked to in the am on august 2/2024). I received no call and the technician arrived 45 minutes late at 9:45am MDT august 2/2024(which is not the issue). The telus technician refused to even get out of his vehicle because of my dog(technician said this was telus policy even though my dog has never been an issue before and there was no mention of anything about animals when the appointment was made on july 31/2024)! The technician broke his own company policy by not calling a half hour in advance before arrival as well as arriving late and then comes up with some spiel regarding dogs that Ive never heard of! When I called to cancel my service an offshore representative said there would be a cancellation fee,which in the end was waived because Ive been paying for a service which doesnt work properly. Lastly there is telus equipment that needs to be picked up and I asked when they would send someone out to pick it up and I was informed that I have to mail it back to them,they brought it,they can retrieve it! In the 2 1/2 hours since the technician was here,Ive cancelled my home internet/tv,1 business line and when my cell is transferred to another carrier it will be cancelled as well! Im more than done and others need to be aware of how telus deals with long standing clients!

      My box for my second tv downstairs quit working and I have now phoned Telus 3 times and spent 5 hours of my time on the phone to get a replacement one. Each time I get it will be sent out in 2 to 3 working days, Its now been over 3 weeks and no equipment has shown up.One of my calls was to a *********** in the *********** and one was to *****. In both cases the person on the other line spoke in accented English which was hard to understand and took forever to try and resolve the problem. They assured me that I would be getting a replacement in each case and none has arrived. In the course of resolving my problem, they had the nerve to try and sell me additional services. We pay good money every month to Telus only to receive this kind of s***** service. If you cant get replacement equipment in reasonable time, there is no reason for anyone to stick with them. If we dont see any replacement equipment this week, we will probably switching to one of their competitors.Telus should be ashamed of themselves but they probably dont care.

      My experience with Telus is terrible. I live in a co-op housing. A Telus door to door sales rep knocked on my door in May to solicit me to transfer my home ph, internet and TV ***** services from **** to them. He offered me a quite good package price. I told him I just renewed my contract with **** for 2 years not long ago. I would have to pay a high penalty, $30 per month, to cancel the **** contract. The sales rep insisted that Telus will pay the full penalty from **** for me as long as I signed a new contract with him for 2 years, by doing so, I would save a lot of money. I got a text confirmation from the sale rep that Telus would pay my full penalty from ****. Since I got both verbal and written confirmations from Telus, I consent to swap from **** to Telus. Telus installed everything needed for the new services at my home on May 30. I then received 1st Telus statement on Jun 28 with the new package price. I also received a letter from **** on Jul 3, saying I owed them the cancellation penalty $570 + 12% tax. If I didn't pay it within 10 business days, they would assign my account to a collection agency. I reached out to the sale rep by phone and text. The only reply was that I should have got bill credit on my first bill to off set the penalty, but I didn't see any credit there. I tried to reach out to the sales rep again, but he did not reply. I called Telus customer service hot-line a couple of times (Jul 11 & 19), with lengthy discussions, they only agreed to give me $150 1 time bill credit and exempt 1 month internet fee. They even asked me to go after the sales rep myself because Telus would not absorb penalty from ****. My frustration is that I was deceived my the sales rep. **** I asked for ph. no. or email address for escalating my complaint, he said they were loyalty ***** Their manager decision was final. They didn't have such ph no or email address. **** I said I would bring this case to the media, he had no response, it seemed he didn't care.

      Telus became ************* I have ever dealt with. In spite of having a contract with set price, the monthly bill constantly increases. Calling customer line is useless waste of time as after endless "Hold on Line" I get to talk to either a ROBOT or a broken English foreigner not understanding the issue. End result is always the same, after the customer service call, I get unexpected Email from Telus informing me that I have a new contract with a "Roll Back" price only to increase the very next month back again. I have been Telus customer for over a 45 years and I have never been treated like a piece of garbage until now! Thankfully I have signed for mobile service with someone else. It looks like I will have to look for an alternative provider with a more customer respect even if its more expensive.Thank you for listening.

      Absolutely, definitively the worst customer experience. If you want to be continually frustrated with a customer service platform and constant service issues, let me tell you, this is it!!I have been a Telus customer for over 10 years. Are you wondering why? Because dealing with this company for a customer service or technical issue is impossible. Before you even dial that number, you must be willing to give up a minimum of two hours of your time. TWO HOURS! This alone will keep you from even contemplating a call, and I am sure Telus likes this just fine. As of today, I have discontinued my services and I will NEVER entertain the idea of returning to Telus. Worse, it took over an hour on the phone to make it happen. First, you get to deal with an automated voice with a bunch of questions, she may have a nice voice, but honestly, I much prefer a real person. She will do all she can to prevent that from happening. After being on hold for 20 minutes, they want to know all about your experience, even though it's all in the account, there for them to see, every single complaint. Then they want to try and talk you out of leaving, regardless of the fact I have repeatedly insisted I know what I want. Then after being told, "After explaining your story, we are willing to disconnect", now I am seriously annoyed, they simply do not get to decide whether they are 'willing' or not, as a customer, if I choose to disconnect, is should be a no brainer. After several more holds and two transfers, I get to the person who will now do the disconnect. But guess what? She, after being told everything by the other agent, now also wants the details and an explanation. Now is when I use my angry eyebrows and voice and let them have it. 'DISCONNECT IT NOW!" was my only response, which I continued repeating until she agreed to do so.Please save yourself the grief, and some money, and do not entertain an account with this horrible company, you don't know how glad you'll be.

      Telus Sales agent had promised a set price for 2 years with no changes. I received a price increase within a few months. I've tried to call and dispute this issue so I can pay my bill. I was transferred to closed departments and hung up on multiple times. When i finally got through, they did not honor my promised pricing.This is wasting hours out of my day. What a terrible experience . I still have not had any contact with a representative to have this issue resolved.
