      Wawanesa Insurance’s handling of our 2021 fire claim (Policy #********) has been deplorable. Its been a nightmare. They wrongly denied my house fire claim for six months (July–December 2021), withheld cause-of-damages details for 1,246 days (since January 11, 2022), and ******* claimed a letter was sent for 282 days (May 2024–March 2025), admitted false by counsel on March 4, 2025. Despite 12 requests, including 8 to their Ombudsman/Privacy Office, WIC’s Ombudsman refused review, and confirmed no Final Position Letter exists. Their Privacy Office ******* *********** *** failed to provide impartial review, ********* ***** ********* ******** This caused us over a ******* in losses. ***** *** *** ***** **** ** *************

      Horrible to deal with. The adjuster never responds to emails or phone calls had to take to a higher level to get any kind of answers. When they did make an offer it was unreasonable, I supplied 3 quoted to fix damage and their offer was less that half the cost. Many damaged items missed that were claimed and they won't put any offer in writing. Their estimators Peak's quote was used for the other 3 quotes but yet I keep getting told they only fix the damaged area this is exactly what these other quotes did. I just want the damage fixed I'm not looking for money Wawanesa should hire a contractor to fix the damage them self. I pay premiums yearly for what to do their work and not to have my property damage covered fully. ** *** *** **** *******

      Would have put negative stars if I could. I own a large old house with a country store not in use bring renovated. I became more disabled than I was which has slowed down renovations **** **** *******. After a year or more of $*** a month payments being switched to by a ****** broker Aha they came in and canceled me. For the roofs and some down spouts that's a roofing company is working on now. Uneven walk way that I have bought concrete for all stone work in progress and walkways and stairs. Back deck 2 1/2' tall with 15' long 12" stairs 3 stairs. Not in use other than dog to go into back yard. 8 other way to come and go also decks rough and being demolished. Steel roof, old barn steel thick no leaks in 150 yrs. Priced by roofers to sandblast some surface rust repairs and rubberized paint. I wish to thank you for dropping me. **** ******* *******

      Wawanesa has been my Insurance carrier for MANY Moons. Not once did I make a claim for my home, In over 30 Years. MY home recently got beaten up from heavy, scary rain and Wawanesa ***** ** ** *** ******* closed my file, made me wait 13 days before anyone came to my home. Blocked me from viewing my claim online and are NOW ******** me and telling other Insurance companies that my home Is damaged from water and this Is ALL because Wawanesa did NOT want to pay for the damaged shingles on my roof which were NEWR but defective. ** ** ********** **** ** ******* *** ******** *** **** ***** ****** ***** * ******** ** ** ***** ** *** ****** ** ***** ** **** * ***** **** *** ************* ******* *** ** ** ***** ****** ***** ********* *** ***** ** ***** ******* ** *** *** ******

      12 years farm policy. Zero claims. Made a water damage claim July 25th. Drag the process out for more then 2 months now... still going.... Make the customers life miserable. Don't communicate. Don't care. Can't find the exact cabinets to replace to match the existing ones. Tell them all new cabinetry. Send the man out to measure. The guy made me feel worse about my kitchen then he needed to. I had no idea what numbers I needed to stay within. So I went along with his suggestions. Wait another week to get a call they went back on their word. ** *** ***** ** *** *********** **** *** ** ********* ******** communication. None. Was told they were not covering the whole kitchen. They would but we had to pay an additional 2500. We hold a farm policy. We have many things under this policy. That is **** near one of our payments we make in a year. If I don't want to go that route. Even knowing they can't find our cabinets. The other option was to just cover the base cabinets. They will look like the tops but won't be exact match. How is that even fair. This with everything else I have endured the last 2 months dealing with this isn't even worth it any more. From the words of my adjuster. You know your not the only one with water damage.
      Denial for many things because of neglect. * *** ** ****** ** ***** I have lost income over this. * **** * ***** ****** ****** ******* ** ******* ** ***** ***** I should not have had to remove black mold from my home because our adjuster took 4 weeks to put the claim through to takeout and abatement. Because my family was sick, it is my job as a parent to keep my children out of harms way. Communication .5/10. Positive response .05/10. Lack of any tad bit of empathy towards customers 10/10. I have talked on the phone with our adjuster 3 times in over 2 months. ***** *** ** ***** ****** **** ********** ** *** ***** ***** *** ******* * ******. ** ****** **** ** **** * *** *** ** *** *********** I would like to give them a chance to fix this.
