    We hire MT Maintenance in February 2023 after receiving a detailed quote from the ***** ***** * ******. Upon accepting the quote we paid him $4890 as requested for a deposit to secure materials through his supplier, with an estimated start date for our roof to be May 2023. In mid May we were in contact where he informed they were weather delayed and we’d be moved to early June. In early June, he advised we were next after 1 more job, after several weeks of the same type of updates, we were always “next after 1 more job” or they would “be there Monday”. Needless to say, by the end of August, we had enough and advised ***** that we would no longer be moving forward, and after receiving no services or materials, we wanted our deposit back in full. He agreed and said that he would be sending it back. After several weeks of following up every other day, we have only received $3225 back. Despite several empty commitments from ***** to send the rest of the money “soon” or “you’ll have the rest by the end of the week”, we continue to be without our deposit being fully returned, and now it has been more than a week since he has returned a single email, text message or answered any of our many calls.

    The bottom line with this company is their commitment to honour their contracts is extremely poor, their overall communication is awful, and the company ***** is very difficult to deal with. Failing to follow through on a job, or in my case, returning monies received for a service, should equate to criminal theft.

    Buyer beware when dealing with MT Maintenance and the ***** ***** ******* ******.

    I have attached the invoice detailing the job materials and required deposit.  The deposits were e-transferred in 2 transactions $2500 on February 21st, and $2390 on February 22nd.  To date, the $3225 has been returned in 3 transactions $1500 on September 6th, $725 on September 8th, and $1000 on September 9th.  The last message we received was a response on our request for the rest of our money, September 20th stating we have the remaining funds returned by the end of the week.  Since then I have sent 2 emails, called 3 times and text 4 times.  Thank you
