    On Friday, a tech came to look at my washer and without taking apart diagnosed it with spider assembly being gone which is $500 plus repair he said and not worth fixing. So, I posted my dryer for sale and someone came and picked up both. She was taking the washer to the dump for me as I told her what was wrong with it. When she got it home, she took it apart only to find a SOLID spider assembly and bearings. I’m a single Mom of 3 and right before Christmas I have to purchase a washer and dryer. In our area there are no laundromats as well making doing laundry a complete inconvenience. I called All Appliance this morning to voice my concern. I told them that the tech went on the presentation of my washer during a small cycle and never actually took it apart. Before I told him that they never took it apart he said well they usually look at it and then changed his story to well, when you see these things all the time, you know what certain things mean. I said, mechanics don’t diagnose your car based on noise or presentation and will not tell you anything until it up on the ramp. And they certainly hear the same noises all the time. I asked was there anything he could do for me and he said well I don’t have a washer here and I’m not refunding your service charge of $59.95 plus tax cause they came in. It’s not about that charge but based on the diagnosis of my washer without actually taking it apart and giving me the opportunity to fix a potentially smaller problem leaves me without. I’m not normally one to complain but this is not right. After getting off the phone, I just cried.
