    On April 5, 2023 I entered into a written contract with Padda Construction Group for installing thermal glass to enclose an open veranda in the house. The contracted price was $38,988.36 of which $1,000 had been paid earlier on March 15, 2023 and $20,000 was paid on signing on April 5, 2023. The date of completion was entered into the contract as November 3, 2023.
    On September 18, 2023 (two days ago) I called Padda's office to find out about the progress on the manufacture of thermal glass. Same day I also sent them an e-mail. No answer was received to either of them. Today I called their office and learned that no receptionist was receiving the calls. At 10:30 am today, I went to their office in Brampton at * ******** ***** ***** **** and found it locked with their corporate name removed from the door. I do not know how to contact them. I do not know if they have moved to another location or simply shut down their business. What do you propose I do about the situation. Thanks

    Thanks for following up on my complaint regarding Padda Construction Group. They mention that they have received a notification from you and have responded to me through *** ***** e-mail exchanges. They inform me that the contract is still on and that they plan to work on the job sometime this month. I will keep you advised when the work commences. Thanks again for your help.

    The business, Padda Construction Group, has informed me that they will complete the work as initially planned by November 3, 2023. However, they have not started working on the project yet. I have until the last week of October to see if they do fulfill this promise. You could close my initial complaint if you so wish, in which case I would file a fresh complaint if they do not begin the work as planned. Alternatively, you could leave the complaint open for another three weeks to see if the actual work is started. 
    I have been apprehensive about the project for two reasons: (1) My telephone calls to their office were not being responded to, and (2) Their office location shut down and I was not informed as to their new location, if there is one. I still do not know from which location they are operating. Their website is still active and shows the old location as their offices.

    I thank you for your help because it was your message to them which finally prompted them to respond to my queries.
