I contracted ******* Heating and Cooling. They attended my home on Sept 11th to do measurements. Shawn D., the owner and his employee attended the home. While I was speaking to Shawn, his employee was in the basement doing measurements for the work that was to start the following week. I let Shawn out of my home after our brief conversation and went to the basement where his employee was. I noticed that the employee seemed all of a sudden nervous, fidgety and he advised that he got what he needed and would be leaving to attend to his dog. Then on Sunday, Sept 15th I noticed that my dryer had been dented. The dent was shaped like a knee. I believe Shawn’s employee had used my dryer as a ladder to measure where they said one of the pipes would go. There was no one else in the home nor anyone else left in my home unattended prior or afterwards. I let Shawn know on Sept 15th of the damages immediately. I sent him pictures of the damage. My dryer was recently purchased in March 2024. Shawn asked me in response if my dryer was near the sink when I sent him the pictures. I advised it was and then he said his employee did not dent my dryer and cancelled doing the job I had hired and scheduled time off work to have completed. I would like for Shawn to pay for the damages to my dryer for it to be fixed.

we did attend her house to measure for ductwork install

we were inspecting an area around 5-7 feet from dryer but were never near her dryer or actually used it as ladder

we did not go ahead with this job as customer complaints before we even started

if we would of damaged anything we would definitely pay for damages

      thanks Shawn D.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because there was no one in the home after them and the damage has not occurred before they attended the home. Shawn had left his employee in the home/basement to measure and cannot speak for what he did or did not do. However I can say without question that the damage did occur following his employee’s visit when he was left unattended by me and Shawn. If I was not certain I wouldn’t have filed this complaint. On top of that damage, Shawn did not proceed with the work that he had agreed to. As if it was my fault his employee damaged my property. That was not fair to me and was not good business practice. Thus causing further inconvenience to me and my home.

      Sincerely,
