1 star*** *** ******* The repair person (Vishal) spent 26 minutes inspecting my dishwasher, charged me $295.00 to tell me i needed a complete pump assembly to fix an occasional leak quoting 678.00 plus another 295.00 labor.
I declined the suggestion, had it fixed by another company for less then $200
After calling customer service at Appliance Repair Team offices several times i finally connected with person that simply said, " you take your chances, all our repair people are independents". ** ***** ** ***** ******* **** *** ***********Review fromChris W

1 star**** part 1: Their website says they accept credit cards, but when the technician shows up, they say they only accept debit or cash.
**** part 2: They say the service call is $80, but when the technican arrives, they immediately ask for payment of $300 for labour, and that parts will be extra.
**** part 3: They pretend to fix some parts (how did they happen to have the exact parts needed in their pocket?) and then charge $400 for parts, without asking in avance.
**** part 4: They claim everything is working fine.
**** part 5: They say, if you ever have this issue again, you will need a new major part of more than $1,000. You say, but this part is fine now. They say yes, it is working now, but if you ever need to replace this part.
**** part 6: They ask you to sign their paperwork AFTER everything has been done.
**** part 7: They write the name of the major part valued at $1,000+ on the paperwork AFTER you have signed it and say this is the cost if you ever need it in the future. You say, but everything is working fine. They say, yes, everything is fine. This is just in case you need this in the future.
**** part 8: You realize that that the repair was not done, and your machine is not working. You call the office to ask that they come back. The office says the technician told you that you needed major part. You say that they said it was working. They refer to paperwork. **** ** **** *** ******* *** **** **** ******** You ask for a refund, for the repair to be done. They hang up on you. **** *** ****. 1 starI believe they play with words. I was told $80 for someone to come to my house. Which I thought was the diagnostic. If I accept the repairs, the $80 would be waived and I'd pay the cost of the repair. I agreed. When the "technician" got to my house he told me $80 was just for him to show up and if I wanted him to look at the machine it would be $280. But that would cover any repair needed except for parts. As I desperately wanted the machine fixed I reluctantly agreed only to be told after 15 minutes I needed a new drum which costs $787. When I called the company to complain they assured me that no one there would say $80 was a diagnostic fee. It's a "dispatch" fee. It was not explained up front that this literally meant just to show. I don't think anyone would agree if this was explained properly. When you're already in a bind and trying to get a resolution as soon as possible you can be trapped into spending trying to get the problem fixed. Machine still not working properly. The "technician" also said the $280 also covers them to install the drum. Since I don't want the repair done why can't my money be refunded. All that was actually done is a diagnostic which because of their shady way of doing business I don't know if I can believe.Review fromSteve S

1 starThe technician damaged our floors - completely unprepared and no protective mats, etc. He acknowledged his mistake and when contacting the customer service - she was ******** **** - they will consider looking at the issue once I paid the $290 invoice. I indicated that I was not confidence in her approach and wanted to speak to a more senior representative of the company. She refused, and continued to talk over me that I needed to pay the bill otherwise she'd send it to collections - what kind of customer service is this company operating when they damage the floor, yet they'll only consider talking to you once you pay them.... They offer no confidence this would be resolved, and continually ****** for payment and then they will 'consider' looking at the photos of the damage (despite the technician taking photos and writing the damage on the agreement/invoice). I wish I had researched this company beforehand - Don't need to be threatened - just want to achieve a satisfactory resolution to the work and repairs on our hardwood floors.Review fromkaren h.

1 starThis company also has a location at 85 Enterprise Blvd in Unionville. L6G 0B5
They have changed their name to The A Team Appliance Repair. Every negative review listed I concur with. They came to repair my dishwasher and charged $280 up front before quoting me for parts. Then proceeded to tell me there was no refund on the $280 when I didn't want to pay for parts. My old dishwasher cost $500. The repairman wanted to charge me $792 to repair it and said it was worth it. The office manager hung up on me as i was trying to get a refund.

1 star* ***** **** **** *** ***** ** **** ** * ****** * *** * ******* *********** ** *** ****** 3 year old washer leaking just a bit under the front glass. They came in and said $600 to replace the gasket with labour. They came back less than a week later and “fixed it”. Next day I went to use it and the leak was bigger. Had a puddle on the floor. Called in, I assumed I was under warranty as the repair guy told me they would come back to fix if there were any issues. The request Went to their warranty team who declined it. Then chased them for a few weeks and they just wouldn’t help, said it wasn’t under warranty as it I apparently told the repair guy what needed replacing and it was a part only job. Like I know what needed to be fixed on the washing machine and was an expert or something? I just agreed with what he said and told him to go for it. 1 day- and they refused to come back to fix it. They stopped responding to us after two weeks *** **** *** *** ******** *** * ********* ***** ****. They also make you give a good review on the spot for a $20 discount. This is why you see some good reviews. You think it’s fine until you go and use it. I usually use reviews to gage a business but I totally got ******* this time. Looking at the reviews below, I wish I thought to check the BBB, I would have stayed away.Review fromdeborah m

quoted very high rates for 3 parts for **** oven and ******** fridge. I was told parts should be receievd in 3-4 weeks. After 1 month I called. They said there was a problem because they didnt have the model#. How could the technician have given me a quote then?
The parts finally arrived and installed 3 months after first inspection and deposit. During this time I called for updates and was treated **** ******.
I noticed the timer/clock panel was stuck in open position. tech casually said "oh yeah, when we do this repair it can break the spring it will cost you $1,500.00. He suggested I live with it because the part is so expensive. He left then the clock started malfunctioning.
I called office again and they pretended to be sympathetic and said maybe there would be a warranty. Nope. Technician said nothing of the clock function being affected, just the spring.
I was furious and demanded that they fully replace the timer/clock panel free of charge. WHy say this happens during a repair process whitout warning a client.I believe the technician broke the spring during their "repair".
Zero responsibility in breaking the part or coming up with an appropriate solution.
What about honesty, reliability, professionalism? They don't care.
They will take advantage of you particularly if you are a woman.
Oh - when the technicians were doing the work on the oven they had to remove the door and cook top. They plunked them on top of my light coloured marble. I asked them to put something underneath the parts to protect the marble. they looked at me blankly, "oh ma'am we don' t have anything".
They don't have scruples .Review fromJoe C

1 star**** ******** ** *** ***** ***** We called to fix our stove, they told us it would be an $80 dispatch fee. We didn't know the hourly rate, the guy just said it would cost $295 plus tax to diagnose the problem with our stove. Of course, my wife not knowing any better and wanting the stove to work ******* ** *** ******* ****** *** ****** ** **** ***, she went ahead and paid him thinking he could fix the problem with that money. He wanted the money up front before he diagnosed the stove. He said he wanted cash only. It took him less than 15 minutes to tell her that we needed 2 ignite switches and the main computer board was gone and we needed all 3 things fixed in order for the stove to work. That would have cost us an additional $1,253 plus tax to fix the stove in addition to the money we already paid. With that price, we could almost buy a new stove. I went ahead and found someone else who charged me $190 and he fixed the stove. I only needed 1 igniter, not 2 igniters and the main board. ** *** *** ** *** **** *** ******* *** **** **** **** ******* ** * ***** ** ******* *** **** ******** ** ****** **** **** **** **** ********* ** ******** ***** ** ** ***** ** ***** ** * *** ** ***** * ** **** * ******** ***** **** ******* * ******** **** **** **** * ***** * ***** ** ******* **** ****** ********* **** **** ** ***** ****** ** *** **** *** ***** ** *** ****** **** *****Review fromRekha A
