Unexpected Decision and Deposit Never Returned: My Disappointing Encounter with Lakewood Ranch Doodles I regret to share my deeply disappointing experience with Lakewood Ranch Doodles, which involved an unfortunate unilateral decision on their part to abruptly halt the sales process without refunding my deposit. From the outset, my interactions with Lakewood Ranch Doodles instilled confidence in their ability to deliver a smooth and enjoyable puppy purchasing experience. Being out of province, the normal purchase process of visits at the kennel were simply not possible so everything was conducting virtually. After expressing genuine interest in a specific puppy, I paid the required deposit ($500 at first then another $1000), and eagerly awaited the arrival of my new furry companion.Days before delivery, I received a sudden communication indicating that the sale of the puppy in question had been unilaterally halted, leaving me bewildered and searching for answers. Regrettably, Lakewood Ranch Doodles deemed me and my family of four unfit to care for the dog. Compounding my disappointment was their refusal to refund my deposit, despite the clear verbal commitment that had been made during my last conversation with the owner, *****. As a customer who had only acted in good faith, I believed it was only fair to expect transparent and fair treatment in return.Equally disheartening was the complete halt to all communication after this unsettling period. I found myself waiting for responses to my inquiries, only to be met with unanswered messages, which greatly added to my growing frustration. In sharing this experience, I hope to shed light on the unforeseen challenges I encountered with Lakewood Ranch Doodles. I sincerely urge ***** to reflect upon and rectify her practices, prioritizing transparency, fairness, and open communication to provide customers with the positive experience they deserve.

***** and his family failed to do the required education. He refused to come for the education visit He was planning on handing the dog over to a child to care for. The son was very clear on this point when he called me. The child called me only days before we were planning on delivering the dog (because the family did not want to invest any time or energy picking up the dog ) I advised about the provided education reading we require. The child said he had not done the reading or education. The child said his father was planning on all care being child's reponsibility.I called ***** sharing my concern for the families investment of time or energy - I was told he had chosen to ignore the information we provided. He and his family were planning on feeding the wrong food and take advise from local pet store owners. He had not done the education reading we provided and intended not to. This is a clear violation of the deposit policy we have stated in the form our clients fill out and agree to those terms. Our deposit is non refundable based on his actions. I cannot put a dog in the care of a family who doesnt take our many years of education and learning to gain the knowledge we have for the dogs well being seriously. He obtained a refund for $500 deposit from Paypal. We had to spend a considerable amount of time trying to education this family. The puppy did not go home with his litter so he had to be remarketed and taken care of longer, including extra time as a puppy alone as well as training and toileting gets started if they do not go home at 8 weeks. The partial payment of $1000 for the dog was used to fund the time spent and the additional length of time the dog stayed past his scheduled go home date, and to remarket the puppy.
