1 starEnercare companies are not reliable *** *** *******. The Enercare organization used an agency to convince people to buy or change their appliances with false information *** **** to Consumers. *** ****** ** ******* ** *** ************ when you have problems with Enercare, the agency is nowhere to be found. ******** ** ***** ******** ** *** ****** *** ***** ****** The agency will say something to you, but different things will come up with you and Enercare; when you tell them what the agency says, they will not listen because they work hand-in-hand with the agency. They know that you will not be able to locate the agency.
****** ****** **** *********** ******** ********* *** ***** *********** the company is unreliable. I think their billing department is contracted out because when you explain your billing problem, they don't know what to do. They keep calling and sending the bills, which is frustrating and stressful. They opened different accounts; when I asked them why they had three accounts for me, they contradicted each other. **** ********* **** **** *** **** ***** **** ***** *** ********* ********* I asked them if they had many billing departments, which was ridiculous in the same organization. Enercare organizations are not for customer satisfaction but for their own ******* benefit.Review fromRitesh S

1 starThis is highly unacceptable from company like Enercare. We got smarter Home services in 2021 (monitor and control thermostat remotely). This is free thermostat from Enercare as we bought furnace and air-conditioned under monthly contract (super high priced and we have already paid off). Now, they said if we want them to monitor thermostat, we have to pay. And if we want to cancel, we don't have access to wifi option to control control remotely. This is ridiculous that the thermostat can't be used without their app and to use that app, we have to continue their paid services or I can only manually control it.
I clearly told the CSR when I contacted call centre that I don't want them to monitor thermostat but I just need to have a control by myself just like ****** ****, or ****** thermostat has an app for control remotely. They advised that I must use their paid services to get remote access to my thermostat.
This needs immediate attention and urgent support. Thank you.Review fromKelly V

1 starAn absolute nightmare. I have been trying to schedule my annual maintenance call since November 6, 2024 and continuously being told someone will reach out to me in 24 hours to schedule the call. Needless to say, i have yet to receive the call and have been calling them weekly to get this scheduled. Recently i was told that they don't even cover my area and have to retain a subcontractor to come out. WHY OFFER SERVICES IN JURISDICTIONS YOU DON'T COVER!!!. I have now called twice to confirm my request not to renew and have been told both times that my request does not show on their system. FYI, i was told i can only cancel at the end of the contract term (renewal) and not mid-term so if they don't cancel on my renewal i'm stuck with them for another year which is bogus. I will be calling them every week to ensure my request not to renew is on their system. My next step will be to consult with a lawyer to see what other options i may have (if they don't cancel on renewal). ****** *** **** **** ** *** ******* ****** ** **** *** *** ********** ** *********Review fromRandy W

1 starEnercare: A Nightmare of Customer Service and Unresolved Issues
I've been dealing with Enercare for months now, and it's been an absolute nightmare. Their customer service is non-existent. I've spent countless hours on hold, only to be transferred to different departments with no resolution. I've had multiple issues, from incorrect billing to solutions that never materialized.
The most frustrating part is their complete lack of accountability. Promises are made, but nothing ever gets resolved. I'm still waiting for a refund on an overpayment from 2022. It's clear that they don't care about their customers or their problems.

1 starI had an absolutely infuriating experience with Enercare **** * ******** **** ** ******* I had moved out of a rental property and repeatedly called them to explain that the payments should be redirected to the landlord, not me. But despite multiple calls and a clear explanation of my situation, I was bounced back and forth between the moves department and the billing department with no resolution.
What really infuriates me is that they claimed they couldn't reach my landlord, yet after the 4th call in 4 weeks, they miraculously managed to get in contact with them—while I was on the line! The moment the landlord heard my voice, their entire attitude changed. And then, just like that, Enercare suddenly seemed to believe I wasn't *****.
The entire ordeal was nothing short of ********. It’s appalling that Enercare would refuse to believe I had moved out when I called them and tried to continue billing me for services that no longer applied. The lack of ***************, customer care, and basic respect for my situation *** ***********

1 starRental water tank heater broke last 4 days ago which was succeeded from previous house owner. Enercare technician came the same day and certified it to be replaced and installation of another new one for the following day. Nothing happened the next day; there was no booking for new installation on the account after calling Enercare customer services. No one came either the following day after confirmed booking. Request for rental contract termination approved after being on hold for more than one hour after talking to 5 different customer services representatives. Contract termination approved on conditions that the broken hot water tank has to be returned to Enercare repair centre by self dropoff or pickup by Enercare. The pickup can be arranged 11 days later for $75. Meanwhile, rental charge on the account still continues to count before the broken tank returned to repair centre even the water tank was certified death by Enercare technician. Is this a normal business ethnics to charge a customer for something it is not working? Apart from that, Rental contract cancellation representative gave out a local destination for self dropoff of the broken water tank heater which had been moved 3 years ago to another nearby city. I am very sure this was done intentionally by the Enercare representative because the complaint about the two consecutive installation no shows, long pickup time for the non-serviceable water tank with ongoing rental charge after rental contract cancellation was decided. With the above, Paying higher than market hot water tank rental monthly rate for 15 years contract Enercare charges need to be really reconsidered.Review fromRick J

1 starMoved out from an address in ****** in August. Paid final gas bill but somehow enercare got my contact info. Since then they have created an account for me and started billing me for something I don't have. I have called them 5 times and everytime they say I will start a case for you . Now they say I owe them for 4 months and no one is listening. The e-mails / phone calls and text never stop .
I have waisted hours of my life on something that I don't even have .
This is gone beyond collections to a shake down for money I don't owe .
There calls keep on getting dropped and getting transferred, one needs to start all over again as to why they called . ** ***

1 starTHIS COMPANY IS A JOKE ! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM! My hot water heater cut out. I have leased this unit since 2011. The service technician told me that it could not be repaired and that they would either rent me another. I decided to purchase my own from another dealer. Installed it cost me just over $1000 installed. The day after I was told by the technician that it could not be fixed I got a report form Evercare that it was good and nothing had to be done. The left hand cannot find the right. It gets worse!!! With the rental water tank that does not work I wanted to have the new installers take it away. I called Enbridge to fond out if my account had been cancelled. I was told that it would not be until I returned the old tank. They wanted me to drop it off at their depot. I told them that I had a car and no ability to do so. The alternative is to Pay them $75.00 to pick up a dead tank.
What A JOKE - Stay away. I am sure that this review will go nowhere as there are no responses to any of the prior reviews. Please be aware!
