      The description on Expedia says "at *** airport". It is not. When I landed, I got to the car rental area. When I could not find Routes, I called. They said that they are 3 miles away and that they send a shuttle. My aunt was in a wheelchair at arrivals, so I would need to wait for the shuttle, get there, and then drive back to the airport. It was going to take around 45 mins to an hour. I asked to cancel the car, or at least days 2-4 of the car rental. They said to cancel through Expedia. Expedia said I had to cancel with Routes. I ended up renting a car with a car rental company at the airport. I tried to get a refund through Routes and Expedia, but they said no and this is in their cancelation policy. The ****** that I learned is that Expedia is not weeding out companies with terrible ratings that continue to mislead with the description of "at the ***********". I should have read the reviews and looked here at the bbb.org since Expedia is clearly 'buyer beware' and does not stand behind the companies that they partner with.

      Note: This review is for the car rental company called ************************* / Routes (on *******) / *********. They use multiple names ** **** ****** **** **** **** **** *** ************ *** *********** There was only virtual assistance, which was super annoying from the beginning. They wanted to charge us 350 USD extra for car insurance even though we told them our credit card included car rental insurance. When we insisted that our credit card covered car rental insurance, the agent said she was sure it didnt. As if she worked for our credit card company. The agent was extremely ****. When we asked to speak with her supervisor, she said: Im my supervisor. The agent said if we didnt want to pay the extra amount, we should just cancel our reservation.There were multiple people that had bookings with them and encountered the same issue. All canceled their reservations in the ********* The security deposit amount is 1,000-2,000 USD!! I bet theyll find ways to keep your money in the end. Also, if you are a Texan resident, you are only allowed to drive 50 miles a day! **** * ***** ****** ***** **** ** *** *****

      **** ** * ******** ***** *** * ***** They have **** about the issues with the car and are charging me $500 for a small Crack in the windshield from a rock hiring the windshields in 85 S. They reported that I could talk with the manager, but couldn't produce one for me to speak with. ** **** ** *** *** **** **********

      I booked a car with Routs at OHR *** **** ******* ******* ******* ** ** *** ***** **** * ****** ** ****** *** **** * ********** *** * ** **** * **** My experience was absolutely seamless. Yes they are off site. You take a train from ORD terminal to a car rental service and the shuttle picked us up in less than 5 min at the door 1 of the car rental center. The shuttle van was spacious and clean.
      At the reception desk, I needed to show my out of state IL id and air tickets to and from Chicago. They don't rent to IL residents. I don't know what's the basis for such **************, but this is what you have to know. Then they asked me for a proof of a liability insurance. Everything was presented on a screen of my phone, no print outs asked. I booked a *******, but I was given tree row seat ***** * **** *** *** ********* ****** **** ******* * **** **** *** *******, nice, clean loaded with features like wireless charging, Navigation, Android auto (wireless) and many more.
      Upon return I was planning to be taken back to the transportation center by the shuttle, but.... Everyone was taken directly to the departing terminal. Everyone was polite, fast and helpful. I can't tell about other locations or other experiences people had with this company, *** * **** ***** ***** **** **** ** ** ****** *** ****** ** ** ** **** ** *******. Will rent again from Routs in Chicago

I travel A LOT, I also never leave reviews but this was absolutely the WORST experience I've ever had in my 20 tears of renting cars. ! My 134$ weekend rental turned into $500+ who knows what when the final bill comes after removing all “accidenal charges”. LONG story short, We never got our car from this comany. They “canceled our reservation” because our flight was delayed and when we showed up they had “no cars left” (mind you I had called twice and TOLD them I'd be late because of this and was fine with whatever car was available.) finally after the horrid cab ride over to this sketchy off site rental **** hole, we waited 2 hours in to get to the counter while all 50 ppl in line were on the phone with their insurance company getting an effing Declaration page EMAILED! ****** ***** ** ***** ** *** ***) Only to find out we didn't have a car anyway! They even charged my credit cards before telling me they had no car! Imagine that, when you think about booking here! Your insurance I.d card or any other paperwork is NOT enough! They need a declaration page, or u pay for theirs. They will get you for every last penny they can if you even get a car. ****** ** ******** * ***** *** *** **** ** ******* ******** don't be fooled because of the cheap price to get there and find out that a Car is no longer available and make you pay more for something else or cancel your reservation altogether and tell you, you HAVE to go somewhere else.       Routes Ottawa on Leitrim Road is a rental company ** ****** I booked a mid sized SUV with unlimited kilometres through a third party. Paid upfront with a pickup time of 0830. When I arrived, I was told they wouldn’t honor the unlimited kilometres and only give 200kms daily. I was driving 710kms that day, with another 710kms return at the end of the week. The clerk told me it was policy for only 200kms per day, but my agreement with the 3rd party did not mention that. The clerk spent five minutes looking on some other website to find this local rules policy. Neither the 3rd party or Routes Ottawa would refund my money. Terrible customer service, ********* practices with renters in need of a vehicle. ***** **** **** ***** ** **** **** ***** **** ****** *** don’t deliver what you’ve booked and paid for.

      Horrible service! Such disorganization and ***** at the ****** Airport location. They have charged me twice and refuse to refund their accidental charge. They even claim it is a legitimate charge and created a **** invoice. They don’t know I had the original invoice and they didn’t know what to say they asked me to email customer service, who still has not “investigated” anything.
      From the moment I went to pick up the car to returning it their computer kept suggesting I pay when it was prepaid and they said sorry it’s an error 3 times! Now with this duplicate charge they can’t even admit it’s yet another error, they created a **** invoice!

      THE WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! I reserved a mid size suv + insurance. The insurance I purchased did not cover this vehicle, so a downgrade was made to accommodate the insurance. I was informed by Routes that the difference would be paid by *********. After contacting ********* I was told by the representative that I would be refunded. After not receiving the refund I followed up with ********* to now be told that it would not receive a refund. Both Routes and ********* has handled this situation horribly. Routes vehicle was not up to par, from the tires to the service vehicle light indicator illuminating. I ended up not even driving the car because it felt unsafe. I will never deal with either company in the future.

      *** **** *** *** * ****** ***** **** ***** ************ ** *** **** **** **** ****** ** ** * ***** in the contract it states if you don’t pick the car up within the hour, the rental is cancelled. I has a 11:30 rental, I arrived at 11:45 at the location to get the vehicle. You are delayed waiting for there van to arrive to transport you. The line was long and it took them over one hour to process me and they canceled the reservation, while I was in line. They did this to every customer *** ****** **** *******. The manager called three woman a curse word, because they expressed frustration. I have never seen this many people walking away, cursing and ordering **** rides. **** ***** *** *** **** ** *********
