    I contacted Hedge Barber June 2024 to receive an estimate to have the hedge in the back of my and my husband's house pruned. Hedge Barber's employee came onto our property without us being at home on June 21, 2024 and assessed the hedge and what we were requesting. Specifically we requested that 48" of the hedge be pruned from the ******* of my sons followed up June 23, 2024 and asked specifically if 48" could be pruned from the top and that if in doing so the hedge would remain viable and that this would not in any way be detrimental to the hedge. On June 25, 2024 Hedge Barber indicated that they would take 48" off the top of the hedge with no ill effects. I requested they do the job.On July 9, 2024 two employees from Hedge Barber pruned the hedge. On Saturday July 13, 2024, my youngest son visited and pointed out that the amount pruned from the top was nowhere near 48". He estimated that 12' had been pruned off the top.On Sunday July 14, 2024, my other son visited and he agreed that only 12" had been pruned off the top. Subsequent to this Hedge Barber sent an invoice demanding payment of $621.50. I always pay my bills on time when the company doing the job has done so in a satisfactory manner. Since Hedge Barber did not fulfill the contract, i.e. it did not prune 48" off the top of our hedge I did not pay the invoice.On or about July 14, 2024, my son emailed Hedge Barber and indicated that they had not taken 48" off the top of the ************************* a result ***** the owner of the company stopped by a couple of weeks later and argued with my son repeatedly about the amount that had been pruned. As my son got tired of arguing, I paid the bill in cash and **** ******* son followed up again within the last week in that the job still had not been done according to contract.The response was a request for pictures after my son already argued with the owner that the job had not been done properly. That's the impetus behind this complaint.

    We were suppose to bring down a hedge 4ft down from  the highest point.  We were suppose to brought the hedge 4ft down from the highest point but the client insisted that we were suppose to bring the hedge down 4ft from the lowest point.  We did not agree to that we do not provide that service.  **** informed the customer that we were not going to do that and in good faith he offered the customer half the cost for the job and now the consumer is attempting to get the job completed at his satisfaction but we were under the impression the consumer consumer knew that we were bringing the hedge down 4ft from the highest point.
