  We needed a family room/playroom and hired OGC to build an addition to our home. We initially chose to work with OGC because of the 7-year warranty that they offer. We really didnt feel comfortable hiring a company that couldnt even guarantee their own work. They had their best professionals working on the site and it really shows. They incorporated very unique elements to the space and did so with great attention to details. We love spending quality time with our son in the new room and were grateful to ***, ************************** for making it happen for us.

  OGC is well organized at every step of the renovation process, from meeting to understand what I wanted done, to design and choosing finishes and materials, and finally the construction. All staff were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They were all very responsive to my questions in person, over the phone, by email and text. Everything was completed by the book - all permits obtained, inspections completed and passed. In terms of the trades, the electrician, plumber and framers were excellent. The original mud and tape jobs were not up to OGC standards so they sent in someone else to correct the job and I appreciated that very much. Overall this is an organized and professional company with a family-feel, which is a great balance when you have a large, costly project and youre putting your trust in someone elses hands

  We had an interior renovation with an addition of a new upstairs bedroom in our home, renovation of our staircase, upstairs landing and living room in March/April 2023.We are very happy with the quality of the work and the new look of our home. Our project manager **** was very personable, responsive and efficient. His communication was excellent. He offered insightful ideas during the project on what to upgrade to make our home even more comfortable with 4 young kids in the house. The on line client portal provides daily photos of the work in progress. The team is very organized with a thorough planning process. Everything was lined up before we started in terms of materials, sub contractors and permits. The work flowed according to schedule with regular schedule updates and progress reports on problem areas and trouble shooting. The team was responsive to feedback and minor hurdles were dealt with calmly and quickly. Revisions were accepted, accommodated and done to my satisfaction.Without adding too much gloss, this is a well organized and solid company. They clearly make efforts to set expectations and to communicate regularly with the client. They have a high standard for their work which I greatly appreciated. I am happy to write this review recommending them.

  OGC recently did a full main floor renovation in my home, opening up the kitchen and living space, while creating a beautiful bedroom and bathroom for my mother. My project manager *** went above and beyond to help me through the entire process, the few hiccups we hit, he presented me the best options within my budget. I had a tight timeframe to get the renovation done and *** was able to finish the project ahead of schedule, he was the absolute best and I will be forever grateful to him. Everyone was wonderful to work with, the different crews in my home were fantastic and my designer **** was amazing and so helpful steering me to pick out the right selections. My home is beautiful and I just cant get over the difference. Thank you *** and OGC!

  My mother's roof was destroyed by a fallen tree. We hired OCG to complete the repair. They were truly amazing to work with. Everyone was professional and courteous. It was a very major job that meant replacing all of the roof trusses. They replaced electrical, drywall, roof trusses, roofing, insulation, etc. They worked with our insurance to make sure everything went smoothly and it did. They finished exactly on time and on budget. ***********************, ************** and *********************** were absolute rockstars at their jobs and amazing points of contact. When OCG was finished they left the house spotless and immaculate. This is a company that truly follows best practises. If you are considering hiring them, do it. If I could give them 100 stars I would. Thank you OCG for making this a painless process!

  Kitchen and en-suite ****. From start to finish, the project manager, ***** was there almost every day. Subcontractors were top notch. Very happy with OGC.

  We have been trying to upgrade our deck and make it into a modernized patio outdoor space. Ottawa General Contractors has been fantastic to work with! We are especially impressed with ************** at OGC. Feel very lucky to have landed him as our project manager! Simply top notch - he is thorough, fast/responsive taking care of our every question (and we have lots!!), and on the ball with hundred moving pieces in parallel. The man is a machine! Results driven and all action! He looks ahead, lines things up well in advance, incredibly efficient, always two steps ahead with people and things all geared up (we never had to worry about a thing! but we still feel well involved with full info and status updates communicated at each and every step!) Can't tell you how awesome ***** is! Plus, he has an incredible attention to fine details. We are amazed at how he can remember everything we ever said and took care of it. Nothing is ever dismissed. He simply took care of our interest and needs, no matter big or small. With a big project, we are prudent and ***** has been just the guy addressing our interest/questions. He is thorough, extremely analytical and is able to communicate all options with detailed analysis and comparisons. Can't say enough how good that makes us feel in terms of comfort level and confidence. We feel involved in the decision making and we feel 100% taken care of with his competence and superb professionalism. Would highly recommend OGC and *****!

  Professional, organized, thorough in all regards and peace of mind for the client. Incredible work OGC! I recently had my kitchen completely re-done alongside two washrooms and wow! They are committed to customer service and offered great support with all my needs. Money well spent! Thank you for making this renovation so smooth and easy, right on schedule, and trusting in your hands. Thanks again to all the owners and staff. Stellar company.

  Fantastic job by OGC on multi part **** including putting in basement ceiling, paint, doors and windows, drywalling, electrical work, plumbing - the works. Great help in picking and ordering materials, and once the work started they had all the trades organized so it was basically non-stop, including city inspections. There were no delays or waiting times once the job started, and they dealt with a bunch of unexpected issues and changes very quickly and efficiently. Job done on time and in budget. Anything they found not in original budget was presented as an option, none of which slowed the work down. Highly recommended.

  We are working with OGC on our large basement finishing project. We have been very happy with our project manager (************), and would be quite open to work with him again. He is attentive to the work progress and is quick to fairly resolve any issues that inevitably occur with any building project. With the project about half-way finished, we are confident ***** will guide the project to a successful finish!
