      I purchased a vehicle from MyCar in ********, I have owned the vehicle for 10 months and noticed that my vehicle is rusting on the passenger side rocker panel, I contacted the dealership as well as sent photos of the rust, there option is to charge me $750 plus tax or $600 cash deal to sand down the rust and paint it. I have taken my vehicle to two auto body shops, one in ********** and another in ********, upon inspection of my vehicle I was told that my rocker panel is rotted out on the inside and the rust is now seeping all of the way thru, the auto body/rust specialist in ******** informed me that this rust has been there for some time prior to me purchasing this vehicle 10 months ago, this is not a matter of the first sign of rust, I was also informed that I have to replace the entire rocker panel to have it fixed properly as sanding down the surface rust on the outside of the panel and painting it will only last about 4-6 weeks as the panel is completely rotting from the inside and the rust will continue to seep thru. I contacted MyCar and they offered once again to do a surface sand and paint the rocker for another quote of $750. I have tried to contact the dealership numerous times by phone and email over the course of 3 weeks now and have received very little response from them except the 2 emails with price quotes to do a temporary fix on my vehicle, the quote to properly repair the damage is $3,224.40 from Riverside Auto Body/Rust Specialist in ********. I purchased this vehicle for close to $35000 and have owned it ************************************************************************************************************ purchasing my vehicle and the dealership has given me very little response back in regards to this matter.

      This customer purchased a used vehicle from our Richmond location approximately 10 months ago. Like all vehicles sold at MyCar, it underwent a full safety inspection and met all MTO safety standards at the time of delivery. The vehicle is several years old, and given its age and typical Ontario driving conditions, the development of surface rust over time is not unusual.

      Approximately 10 months after purchase, the customer contacted us regarding rust on the passenger-side rocker panel. We reviewed the photos and responded with a quote of $750 plus HST for a cosmetic surface sand and paint repair through our trusted repair facility. This was offered at our internal cost as a goodwill gesturenot an obligationsince rust or corrosion is not covered under any warranty at the time of sale.

      The customer obtained a third-party quote for a full rocker panel replacement at over $3,200. We do not consider that level of repair to be reasonable for a vehicle of this age and condition, especially since no structural corrosion was reported or evident at the time of sale or in the months following.

      Weve provided a fair and cost-effective solution through our facility. If the customer chooses to proceed with a third-party repair at a significantly higher cost, that is entirely their decision. We have offered our resolution and stand by it.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I should not have to cover the entire cost for body work needed 10 months after purchasing a $32000 vehicle, I had asked the dealership if there was an arrangement that we could come up with where I would pay a portion of the repair and received no response, I also was willing to bring my vehicle up to ******** for their auto body shop to have a closer look at my vehicle in regards to the rust and received no response to that either. When I asked if the body work that the would do on my vehicle would be guaranteed the dealership informed me that there would be no guarantee on the work they would do and that it would be a temporary fix. Therefore charging me $800 out of my own pocket for work that is not guaranteed and would only be a temporary fix without inspection of my vehicle is unacceptable.

      ok here it is I put $3000.00 on *** vehicle to hold the truck from being sold
      and that it came back bill for sale with Warranty on sale of vehicle that i did not want and then extra finance charge of $799 plus the truck was still up for sale the next day !!!!!
      The next day i phone and told that i was not interested any more in the vehicle and that return money back at once and nothing happened gave them 7 days nothing happened now i contact the credit card company's
      and waiting this company FIND MY CAR is a **** not only took my money and try to put off more money fort the deal ship was **** and did not put the money showing in the deal in then tried to make pay more at the end of the deal
      THIS UNREAL PLACE OF BUSINESS SENT EMAILS AND TEXTS ALL PEOPLE INVOLED AT THE DEALER SHIP

      Firstly I would like to clarify that none of this is true on any level as I have the email correspondence with both our sale representative **** and our business manager ****. Everything was disclosed as a copy of the bill of sale was sent to you and all safety related work was performed on the truck along with your written authorization to charge your credit card as you were coming on the weekend to pick up the vehicle. 

      In addition to this, the refund of $3000 has already been processed prior to this complaint as emails to the client went unanswered. The refund was processed the same way the original deposit was left, in 2 separate transactions of $1500.00. 

      Unfortunately for whatever reason we were unable to finalize the sale and the refund was processed.

      So I purchased a 2014 Nissan Versa Note with 106760 km I signed papers April 14 2022. I didn't pick the car up till the 21 as it needed work done. When I picked the car up drove it a bit then noticed it wouldn't go into gear probably it was slipping called them and told the me to bring it the in on the 27th it ended up being the transmission they said it would be a week or two before they could get it fixed. Well the ended up sending it to Ottawa and I didn't get it back until June 2nd. They didn't give me any paperwork saying they fixed it until two weeks later and it was an invoice I asked ******* about my warranty on the transmission he said a year but recieved no paperwork for that still haven't. So by the next day I noticed a loud squeal sound called them told me to bring it in on the 9th so I did they told me it was the belt and that they put something on it but that the belt was fine well within hours it was doing it again. So now into July the squeal is still going on and the transmission is slipping again. I've talked to them they said it was fine when they drove it back from Ottawa. Not sure what else to do they aren't doing anything about it now and I don't have a warranty on the transmission for paper trail.
