Outdoors Done Right dropped a flyer in my mailbox around the end of October 2023 advertising their cost to do driveways/walkway. I contacted them and met with ******* **** the following day. We did a walk through of my yard so he could give me a Seasonal winter contract price. At that time, I also indicated to Mr. **** that I needed our walkways/driveway done by 9:00 a.m. in the mornings and he indicated he was good with that. I told him to leave me an invoice in my mailbox and I would pay in full for the 10% discount he offered. He dropped it off and I paid him in full via E transfer on November 1 2023. It began snowing soon after and I never saw anyone for 3 weeks when I finally called to see why no one was showing up. He had all kinds of excuses but he sent his son out at 4 pm the next day not like 9:00 a.m. as he agreed initially. Did not see anyone again till I called him and complained about 2 weeks later (it was snowing almost everyday in Sault Ste Marie in Nov/23!!) Again his son arrived late in the day and it had snow very hard that day and all this young man has to do the walkways was a shovel. I went out and asked him why Mr. ****h did not send him with a snow blower and he indicated that they only had one and it was being used his dad. He could not get through the heavy snow with the shovel and I felt sorry for this young lad and told him to go home and come back when he got the snow blower. Needless to say - he never came back again. I emailed his business (see attached correspondence) I wound up doing and additional E transfer of $113. - explain in attachment!! Never saw anyone again and the next thing I hear is that he has posted a Mea Culpa on his On Line Business page (See Outdoorsdoneright Snow Removal and Lawn Care Sault Ste Marie On) for the entire script. Bottom line this guy was not giving any of us our money back. There is a site on Facebook called "Keeping the Sault Safe" with many angry people posting about what he did to them or their parents . They contacted the police etc. Bottom line - is it fraud or stupidity. Either way many people lost their money. He then sent out a note claiming he was filing for bankruptcy. To date that has not occurred. I hold out very little hope that I will be reimbursed but this "Scammer" should at least be outed by the BBB so those looking for lawn care in the summer don't wind up in the same boat.

I had reached out to Outdoors Done Right as they were offering a 3 day sale on Snow Removal at a what I thought was a decent deal. I had sent an etransfer of $450 to them on November 23rd, 2023 in exchange for snow removal for my drive way from December 1st 2023 to March 31st 2023. It has been brought to my attention by social media that they are shutting down and now apparently filing bankruptcy. I never had an email, text or call from them stating this. I am a single mother and could really use that money at Christmas for my son or to put to a reliable snow company to help with my driveway over the winter months.

I entered into a snow removal contract with this business on October 15, 2023, for the season of 2023/2024. After emailing back and forth with the office manager *********, I signed the contract for $900+HST, and paid the first installment payment of $517.00 ($450.00+$67.00HST) by EFT. However, after one storm the company struggled with providing the promised service, and proved that they could either not keep up with the demands of their customers or had no intention of finishing the season. There was radio silence from the business owner *********************** until last week when all customers received an email on December 11 saying that effective immediately the business was shutting down, and that refunds would be expected within two years. The email also alludes to the fact that if anyone finds the timeline unacceptable and peruses legal action, that they will just file for personal bankruptcy and not repay anyone. He then also states that he cannot be reached by phone or email to follow up, which is not in good faith. Though I can understand the challenges of getting a new business up and running, this type of manipulation is unacceptable, and they have left their customers stranded trying to find services for the season. For example, my husband had surgery in November and we decided to invest in a snow removal service for the first time knowing that he is physically incapable of doing it himself this year; now, we have no service nor the funds back to reinvest in a new provider, and should not have to wait up to two years to receive our payment.

On October 5th 2023, I paid Outdoors Done Right $565 for this season's snow removal. They did my driveway once in November and then closed the business. I was not notified of this. This morning I checked their website because we had a heavy snowfall, and my driveway was not done. There I learned that the business went under. Obviously, I was shocked and upset. I am a single mother with back issues and now I have no snow removal services. I tried calling the business but no one answered and their mailbox is full so I couldn't leave a message. I tried facebook messenger but they have disabled messages. I was able to send an email begging for a refund but there has been no response. There are dozens of angry clients complaining on social media but it is surprising to me that I am the first to complain. I want my money back so I can hire someone else. The website says it could take two years to be reimbursed.
