I bought a 2022 Toyota Tundra from Northside Toyota in March of 2022 for the total price of $85,000. My engine blew up due to an issue with my crank rod bearing causing it to blow up. They decided to rebuild my ********** didn't get it back until the end of December. Since I have got the truck back I have had it back to the dealership multiple times because I keep running out of oil every ***** km's I am pretty sure it's burning it they keep telling me they can't find anything wrong they changed my oil told me to come back in 500 km's to have it checked but it's almost 500 km's just for me to get home. They just keep telling me to keep bringing it back it is at no cost to me because it's warranty but what about all the gas, mileage, and spare oil I'm having to buy to keep my truck running. They aren't guaranteeing me anything.

We here at Northside Toyota understand that ********* inconvenience is quite significant.  We continue to diagnose and repair her vehicle to the original state.  The repairs are covered by the factory warranty that her vehicle came with.  If ******* would like to submit receipts as to her "out of pocket" expenses, they will definitely be considered for reimbursement.

Had Northside Toyota install a light bar as condition of sale in April 2021, the light bar they installed was not a Toyota product, as a result Toyota Canada refused to help with the issue. The installation was faulty which cause the relay located under hood to get wet and rust which eventually led to shorting out. After unknowingly understanding why my battery was constantly dying and eventually got replaced by Northside Toyota due to this issue being recognized by a mechanic tow truck driver who noted the faulty relay and position of it being a place where it constantly gets wet. By December 2021 we’ve been trying to get the light bar re wired in the proper position and now needing a new light bar because of an incident where it turned on and could not be shut iff on highway travels. The OPP were forced to cut the wire for safety as it was blinding on coming traffic. Northside Toyota opted to change wire but wasn’t possible because of where the officer cut it. We disputed that it also had to be re wired or the same issues would re occur. We finally got Northside Toyota to agree to a new light bar and to re wire the relay on Dec 2022. When we inquired about this in May 2023 if parts had arrived they said yes and wanted to schedule an appointment to repair the wire only which had come in they said a week prior. I told them I need a whole light bar replacement kit and the faulty relay needs to be re wired as discussed in December 2022. I called *** at Toyota he apologized and said he would take care of it but once again no response. I feel like they’re trying to prolong this to the point I’ll give up. It will be 2yrs in December and would love to have this light bar installed as it’s a safety feature for my remote travels in northern Ontario, thanks for your time,

As described in the letter above, Mr. ****** did have an aftermarket non-Toyota lightbar installed on his vehicle.  Through documented repair orders, Mr. ****** did not return to the repair facility until October 19 2021 and that visit was for vehicle maintenance not related to the noted lightbar concerns.  The client did return for a lightbar related concern in December of 2022.  At that time, the wire harness that was ordered for the repair was not required because the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) had cut the wire harness past the main wire connector plug in.  At that time, Northside Toyota had informed the client that we would still warranty the lightbar, although it was not defective, but damaged by the OPP.  A lightbar is here in stock to complete the installation and repair.  Although Mr. ****** does live approximately 90 minutes from the repair facility, Northside Toyota still stands behind the initial decision to repair the vehicle at no charge to the client when it is convenient for him to bring his truck in to the dealership.
