Monthly Sommelier gift baskets. Didn’t know that this company is part of a much lager group, The Gift Group. Paid for an extra item, an Artisan cheddar cheese that I didn’t receive. Instead they substituted with a much cheaper item, a supermarket boxed Brie cheese. I selected a specific basket that includes a nice variety of items. Again they substituted all the items in my basket. Tried contacting customer service for some help. I got treated very poorly with no respect. Last words from the manager; “If you are looking for a response regarding your substitutions that differ from the e-mail I already sent you on November 30th, I am here to tell you that no one at this company will be providing you with that.” Shop local, shop small business, shop elsewhere. Importance of client satisfaction is zero for them.The Gift Group

My boyfriend tried to surprise me and ordered me flowers for my birthday from this company. He provided ALL of the details of my address. I live in an apartment building. This company tried to claim he did not provide the full address when he absolutely had (I can see the full address on the order WITH my apartment number, correct street address, correct name, everything), and tried to charge us $50USD to have it redelivered for THEIR INCOMPETENCE.
They also claimed there was no way to contact me/get buzzed in when there is CLEARLY a directory box outside which you can call from, right in front of the front door.
They also tried to claim there was no parking, when there is temporary parking RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR for delivery drivers. I asked if I could just come pick up the flowers, and they said they do not have a store to pick up from and there is no way to pick up the flowers.
We tried to tell them we provided all the correct information and that their delivery driver CLEARLY made a mistake and they do not care and insisted on having us pay the $50. They will do and say ANYTHING to get more money out of you. ********** **** *** ********* non-existant customer service who only then offered a PARTIAL REFUND when we weren't interested in paying the "redelivery fee" for flowers that NEVER ARRIVED.

We’re sorry to learn that you are unhappy about an unsuccessful delivery attempt. We do make every possible effort to deliver to the addresses we are provided with, but there are situations where a delivery can not be completed due to customer/recipient error. We are always happy to attempt redelivery on a future date, but to make sure delivery drivers and couriers are properly compensated for their efforts, customers are charged a re-delivery if necessary.
Since our orders are custom made for each individual on a per-order basis, refunds are typically not issued if customer/recipient error renders an order undeliverable. If granted, any refunds of this nature are subject to deductions as deemed appropriate for returned items that can not be resold or reused, as is commonplace most online retailers.Review fromD. B.

***** ******* The basket that was delivered did not have one item that was the same as what I ordered. They literally substituted their $100 basket for the $180 baby girl basket I paid for. It looked like someone vomited pink in a basket. When I complained they said that I agreed to their substitution policy and so they did not care that it was not an appropriate gift. LOL This is the same refusal to take responsibility they sent the first time. If you are going to post a response, maybe try taking responsibility. This continues to blame availability not the substandard substitutions with no warning or appropriate adjustment in price for the much smaller gift. Again, unethical business practice. The shipping international price totaled the whole amount for 185.90. Then they delivered a fruit basket over the 7 day allotted time. I tried to call them but could only leave message and communication finally was done over email. They said they were allowed to "substitute" as per right their company rules but this substitution does not match. The price of the actual gift in clothes and baby items when compared the price of fruit basket does not value equally. Then they had a local delivery service deliver instead of sending the item internationally as they are charging for international shipping. When this situation happened, I went online and searches have shown that this has happened to many other customers. I wish IABBB look into this business and especially into their transactions for their so called international shipping process that they do not use.The Gift Group

Horrible experience, ordered a cake a balloon, a large chocolate gift basket and flowers for a 50year old Birthday party. They lost my shipment (you can read so when tracking the shipment) cake finally made it 5 days later. MOLDY! *** ******** ******* *** ******* *** ****. They take no responsibility and said that if I did not accept the 50% back on the cake they offered they would "close my case ASAP".The Gift Group

Due to the nature of our business, several of our orders contain perishable items—i.e., any product with a lifespan that is subject to spoilage after a period of time or particularly susceptible to damage, such as chocolate-dipped strawberries, cheeses, fruits, baked goods, and flowers.
It is never our intention to deliver damaged or spoiled products. As such, our website warns customers in several areas that items of this nature must be shipped on a same-day, next-day, or overnight basis to ensure they arrive in suitable condition.
In the event that a customer proceeds to order perishable items using an inappropriate shipping method despite these warnings, we cannot guarantee the condition in which the products will be delivered, and customers are not necessarily entitled to refunds or replacements should such products arrive damaged, melted, or spoiled.
As a gesture of goodwill, this customer was refunded 50% of the value of the damaged cake.Camilla J

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS!! I so wish I had read the reviews before I placed my order. My basket was supposed to be sent to ******. I never got a tracking number, no shipping notice, nothing. When I emailed (no phone number) the company I received all the excuses the others did: my recipient was not home when they attempted to deliver, blah, blah, blah. I know that is untrue because there is a 24-hour Concierge in the building in which my recipient lives. It has been 3 weeks and no answer from the company on where the basket is and no basket delivery! I WILL be contacting my credit card company! I spent $200 on this basket!The Gift Group

Good 4 You Gift Baskets is an excellent choice if your goal is to poison people. I expected my $180 basket, which contained gourmet sausage and cheeses, to arrive in good condition. Turns out it sat unrefrigerated for four days before being delivered. Customer service blamed me for selecting the wrong delivery method, even though they offer no method for delivery within acceptable food safety guidelines. Their website states that they may substitute the perishables if an unsuitable delivery method is selected. When I asked why this was not done, customer service emphasized the word “may.” Needless to say, Good 4 You gift Baskets is a horrible company with even worse customer service.The Gift Group

We ship all throughout North America. Naturally, delivery times will vary depending on an order’s destination, which is why customers are always granted an opportunity to choose the shipping method that best meets their needs so their orders can arrive on time.
When customers are placing an online order, once they enter their shipping address they are provided with several different shipping methods that indicate the minimum length of time required for an order to be delivered. As is the case with most online retailers, the shipping method determines the transit time, otherwise known as the minimum length of time required for an order to be delivered once the item has been dispatched.
Customers may also opt for expedited shipping at an additional cost (express, overnight, next-day, priority) should they require an order to arrive faster than the minimum timeframe offered by ground shipping.

Thanks for your response to my review – over a year later. It reinforces my points above. What your shipping info does not include is whether perishables will be safely delivered, ie. use of cold packs, dry ice, etc. They will not. You delivered the basket despite the fact that it would spoil, endangering the health of a bereaved family. The additional items of wine for the gift did not arrive and when I emailed three times I was not able to be assisted with a delivery of those items or a refund. Upon being notified of such issues, we always try our best to offer an appropriate resolution by either refunding or replacing the missing portion of the order, if reported to customer service within a timely manner with supporting documentation.

I placed an order $400+ and did not receive most of what I specifically ordered. They replaced items with substitutions however, some items that were not even close or even reasonable substitutions. We are horribly disappointed that they managed to ruin the wedding flowers for our bride's special day. There is no communication regarding orders that they cannot fulfill correctly, they simply substitute with whatever they like and keep your money. ****** ****** I guess is what I am saying about this company as now I am not only out that money but having to struggle to find what we need :(The Gift Group

I ordered a wine trio, cheese and crackers as a special birthday gift for my 91 year aunt. I needed to substitute 2 wines - this took about 30 minutes to figure out, but as per the website, it was perfectly fine to do so. My aunt received the order without the substitutions. Since then, I have tried to contact Hazelton's and they are just not responding. It's very disappointing given these are not cheap gifts. I also tried to leave a review for them, but suspect that will never be published.
