Upon purchasing my home in 2022, there were title issues with the zoning. I have been trying to deal with those issues. My title insurance company contracted DEP Construction to replace two man doors going into my home from my garage as part of that fix. My first contact with the contractor was in late January or early February of this year. They provided an estimate to the insurance company, who of course approved the estimate. I picked out the doors myself after the approval for the job, which were $1473 for BOTH doors. Now, I realize the industry standard is 15-20% markup on materials. However, upon completion of the job, DEP billed my insurance company $4798 just for the doors, that doesn't include the charges for time, travel and other materials. That's over 300% markup on the doors. The insurance company and I have been speaking about this, and DEP is not co-operating. They are claiming they only charged 20% on materials, which is completely untrue. They're also trying to tell me that the invoice was changed after completion. But, I have sent you the invoice my insurance adjuster sent to me. You can speak with my insurance company if you'd like, I would be happy to provide their contact information for you.

This is a misunderstanding. The invoice was not for the amount the insured uploaded. That is a quote for the job which was done with out seeing the job or completing an inspection or having a door selection. I have uploaded the correct INVOICE not the QUOTE. Regardless I would not be able to give the insured a cash settlement that would have to be issued by title insurance or the adjuster handing the file.

We have completed the work we were asked to complete and have satisfied the section of the municipal order to comply regarding the dwelling entry doors. The remaining items to close the order to comply is separate from the work we were asked to complete.

Everything we have done is within industry standard and has been inspection and passed by the municipal inspector. The insured has continued to take out her frustration regarding funds she feels entitled to. We have had a bad review left on our ****** business page, we have had slanderous comments posted on public ******** pages and now a complaint with the better business bureau. This is boarding on harassment and if this continues we will consult a legal representative.

    Thank you for your time,
