I paid ****** $425 in early November 2023 to do snow clearing of my house until mid January. ****** only showed up for 1 snow storm days after the storm and only after I let him know my wife fell in the deep snow of the driveway however ****** originally told me he wouldnt do the driveway after that storm either.Every snow storm except for that 1 where he came after my wife fell, ****** would not show up. ****** would never let me know he wasnt coming and only after texting him the day after the storm would he let me know he wasnt coming and each time it was a different excuse.Sometimes his excuse was that his equipment broke down, sometimes it was that his crew got stuck in snow on the way to do my driveway, and sometimes he would say he was coming the next day but not show up that day either.In December 2023 ****** told me he would give me some of my money back for all the storms he missed but that he couldnt pay me back until other people payed him in January for the second half of the season.In January 2024, ****** told me that because so many people complained about his company never coming to do their driveways, the police were involved and told him to pay everyone back. He told me he would eventually refund me my money and its now been over 7 months and he wont even get back to my texts.I spoke to alot of members in my community who paid for his snow clearing services that was never done and the excuses they got were different than the ones I received for the same snow storms.****** offered to do the second half of the season at a reduced costs but I turned him down after having such a horrible experience. A victim of his scam that did pay for the second half after being offered the reduced price let me know he never showed up for the other half of the season either.Initial Complaint

Half-assed a job, didn't complete. Ghosts whenever he gets the change. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TRUST HIM. Has scammed plenty of people before, doesn't realize some people will have the funds to actually figure out where he lives and will absolutely go to court to ruin him financially.Initial Complaint

On November 8th 2023 a contract was made and an invoice was paid. I was quoted $1000 for the winter season for snow removal. I was told pay 50% now $500 which was paid November 8th and the remainder would by January 14th. On November 8th 2023, ****** picked up the cash at my house. I have pictures handing the cash to him and the text that he was on his way and when he was here. Nov 9th was the first snow fall and ****** and his company were nowhere to be found. I got a texts stating that the driveway wasnt frozen enough to be plowed. Told him that was never discussed and would like a refund at this point if he isnt gonna do what I paid him to do. Told me hed give me a refund never did. Nov 28th we got so much snow called, texted, posted on his ********* messaged him on ******** no response. He took my money and never did the job and refuses to give me my money back and now I am blocked on everything.Business Response

Have already been in touch with an officer. We also made attempts to come even short handed and down trucks to get the driveway done they didnt wish to continue. We spoke the owner of KandCrenovations, ***************************** about his seasonal plowing services for our residence located at **********************. We agreed to a price of $660 for the plowing services and 150 for shoveling all public accesses on our property. My wife (*********************** the sent a $400 deposit in an eTransfer to ************************ and the remainder of the amount would be paid in the new year. We agreed to that. This weekend we had a snow storm and he did not show up and we went on his ******** site and left him a message on his post asking him to contact us in this matter. We then realized that other people where asking the same question about where was the services that we paid for. He shortly deleted the post and all the comments and now we are coming to you in this matter to hopefully help us get this resolved and possibly protect others from being used by this guy. On October 2, 2023, I contacted K and C Renovations to repair the floor and door to a shed.I was given a written quote of $800 for all the work and a new door, based on photos sent.****** asked for a $500 deposit, which I sent by etransfer. I asked for a new door, no windows, installed.On October 3, ****** started demo on the shed floor.After seeing the amount of water damage to the studs, he sent photos and suggested the entire floor and door be replaced for $2000. I agreed.Another payment of $750 was sent.Day 4, October 6, only the door and clean up were left. I checked the progress after 2 hrs and saw the back half of my old rotten door was attached to a piece of plywood for the front. He insisted if I wanted a new door, it was going to cost me extra. I provided the proof that we agreed to a new door, in both quotes and I want him to honor that.****** was very happy to leave the rotted part of the door on my shed and take my full $2000.After much debate, I insisted the door be changed to a new door.He left and said he would return the next day to do clean up and hang a new door, which he didn't. After being confronted about recycling a rotten door and much debate over it, ****** left my property. The materials that were removed from the shed, wood pieces and nails, my personal contents, amongst other items were left covering my yard. The rotten door ****** installed doesn't close. We have now had 2 days of steady rain. I have provided photos of the mess and the messages proving a new door was promised. After spending all that money, I am left with the same problems as before.I also want to mention, I have 2 very small dogs. When they go outside, I am now afraid of them getting hurt with the debris left behind, and cigarette buts everywhere. Physically I can't remove this.****** has shown nothing but disrespect and disregard to me, my animals, or the reputation of his word and work.****** should not be frauding his customers this way.Business Response

When spoken to about door, we agreed to come back and buy material to then make a whole new door to her satisfaction. Client then threatened me and my helper that she would call cops to remove us from property. On our way out I made sure to notify her we would be back to clean final bit of garbage when we came back to fix door. I am rejecting this response because:****** avoided hanging a new door by using a rotten one. It was only when confronted with this and after a heated conversation that ****** said he would build a new door. The comment of calling the police was made during the heated conversation.
After ****** left on Friday October 6, he was supposed to return the next day to pick up the rotten wood to bring to the dump and to work on the door. He never returned. I sent the complaint after not receiving the quoted new door since this was fraud to me. Charging me the full amount and leaving the rotten door hung.

I contacted ***************************** early September 2023 for a quick flashing repair job on my roof. He stated he fixed the job which was causing a leak into my house. However, the leak was 10 times worse after he finished. I reached out to him on more than one occasion for an invoice and to discuss his horrible work and he ignored me. I would like a refund due to the lack of actual work done to my roof and then having to hire a separate company to ACTUALLY fix my roof.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
After 3 days and finally getting ahold of ******, he informed me that there must of have been an underlying issue with my roof. I informed him that after finally getting the first rain fall that we had after the work was done the roof leaked even worse then before the work was done. Therefore having to get a new company in to get the work he completed fixed.He told me he would send someone out to look at the work and take pictures, I informed him he was more than welcome to come by and take a look at the fixed work and discuss a refund but it no longer needed fixing because we had to pay further to resolve it.
Since October 8th, 2023. We still received no invoice, no refund and no appearance to take pictures as he stated he wanted to.
I really did not want this to become a major issue but I think it is extremely inappropriate that this person claims to be a professional business but provide no receipts for anything and not even consider refunding an incomplete repair

On August 1st *****************************, owner and operator of K&C Renovations in *******, ** built an elderly woman a set of 5 stairs to her front door, which were objectively built incorrectly and are not safe, and she now has to pay someone else to redo them. Family members tried to communicate with him to resolve the issue but he has stopped responding. The following are some of the issues with the stairs:-The stairs are improperly attached to the house, making them very unsafe.-The top stair is only 3 inches from the top of the landing.-The bottom stair is also 3 inches from the ground.-The railings don't go to the bottom stair.-There is a 4x4 under the bottom of the ******** on the ground.Initial Complaint

I hired ****** ******** to reinforce the structure of my deck. He completed the back posts but did not return to complete the front work. Every week I would ask for an update and every week he would say that he was coming soon or the next day, or that evening. Eventually I told him that I was not comfortable dealing with him anymore, and we both agreed to a refund of $500.00 for the work not finished (agreed to by text). He asked to be given until July 1st to issue the refund and I agreed but he did not issue a refund. July 11th was the last text stating that he needed to take on another job to get the funds necessary for a refund and I have not heard from them since.
