      I’ve been with CAA off and on for almost 40 years. They use AI for intake and because of AI’s failure to identify the location to bring the vehicle, I wasted an entire day waiting. The first driver *** ******* ****** * *** *** *** left because the insurance slip was outdated and even though the updated one was only ten minutes away..he was gone! Never … ever was asked for proof of insurance in 40 years and it was fully insured with just outdated slip. Had to wait another 1.5hrs for another tow truck. Anyways I cancelled. ****** ******** ****** ******** ********** Basically an apology… no credits…nothing to compensate me for an entire day wasted.

      Absolutly horrible service. A tow person came, realized we would need a flat bed. He said he would out the call in. Didn't. I finally figured that out and called again to order a flat bed. Said it was in its way and then never showed up. When I called them they said they were waiting for my call to upgrade my membership which was never even mentioned in a single conversation. It's now been 7 hours since the first call and it says I need to wait another 3 hours for the tow truck. **** ** **********

      40 year customer history. I have a small minivan which I have had towed 6 or 7 times over that 40 years. Never had any problem until today. Now because I have the word "LOCKSMITH" on the side of my van it cannot be towed. Never was a problem before. Anyway... long story short... Driver said if I paid him $350 CASH he would tow it for me, so I paid him as I was in a hurry to get to the repair shop. (December 24, Christmas eve) He did not give me a receipt. I will be cancelling my CAA membership when it comes up for renewal.       We called for a tow today from the mechanic shop to have our car towed home. We have a summer convertible with summer tires and unfortunately we have had the car in the shop since September as we were waiting for parts to come in from Europe. We finally got a call that the car was ready and could be picked up. Being that we have summer tires, we thought it would be unsafe for us and others on the highway to drive it home ourselves and thought it best to have it towed instead to keep everyone safe.
      We were told that there was no mechanical reason that we could not drive it home ourselves (** **** **** **** ******) as CAA would not be providing us with a tow truck. We explained that it was not safe as summer tires should not be driven in minus degree weather. They did not care and said we were on our own.
      I have cancelled my membership and will be telling everyone I know about the service we received today. **** * ***** ** ********

      * ***** **** * **** ** * ****** CAA left us stranded (truck and 5th wheel) for 6 hours on the side of ******** ***** Highway 11 ** *** **** **** ****** *****  They sold us a rider on our policy for RV coverage but have no clue what a 5th wheel is. Thank *** for the ******* towing company who did all the leg work to find the proper truck for the 5th wheel. CAA did nothing but put us on hold while ******* towing organized everything. *** ** ***** ********

      I called to complain about the tow truck man . But I haven't received any response yet! When I was riding in the tow truck yesterday, he took the opportunity to ask me for 85 . Because I just registered CAA and it has not been 24 hours, I need to pay an additional 85 . He said that the $85 was required by CAA. Then he kept reminding me that I don't need to pay taxes if I give him 85 **** in cash. I gave him 100, and he gave me 15. When I got home at night, I found that the system had charged 75 registration fees + 85 additional fees. * ********** **** *** ******** ****** *** *** *** ****** * ****. This driver is from CAA. ** ****** *** ************* ** ******* ********** ** **** **** ** *** ****** He tried to collect $85 cash and no one found out. Because during the process, he kept reminding me to pay cash. Then, CAA is such a big company, even if he is required to collect fees, there must be certain rules, regulations and procedures. It is impossible to take the money directly without giving any bill proof!

      I bought an all inclusive package with CAA, it was over $5,000 including trip insurance.
      I had problems with my passport arriving on time. I wanted to be proactive and fix the problem. I talk with CAA offices for a whole week and I told them that it should be on the way but my vacation date is approaching and that I was worried. I asked for guidance in what to do.
      I tried to get a new passport, so I can go with my family, but I couldn't, it was going to be our first time in Mexico
      The agent told me to cancel the trip. I told him I don't want to cancel, I asked if I can move the date 3 days forward or if I should wait until the last minute, we were really looking forward for this trip. For personal reasons neither my mom or my son can go after July and we have planned this for months.
      At the beginning the CAA agent didn't want to acknowledge that I have a Trip insurance. After many calls and emails "he found the insurance" , I paid over $800. I keep asking if I can wait until the last minute or until the day before the trip instead of canceling. He said it has to be 24 hours and that they open Mon to Fri. Therefore I had to canceled on Friday because my trip was Tue Morning
      To make the story short. I followed CAA instructions and I canceled the trip, I got the passport the day before and I called on the same Fri to reverse the cancelation but they said they can't do that and the money is gone. Gone where? it can disappear! Now, I'm fighting with the insurance but it seams that they are not going to cover the full amount either. Also, they gave me the rules of the insurance after I made the cancelation. They said they can not give it to me before because CAA should have gave it to me at the time of payment, they didn't
      I thought CAA was a serious company. Now I know they are not. They just want to keep your money if they can even though that means tricking you.

      I was taking my car out of the garage, then realized I had a flat. Started to jack up the car ro put on the spare, but I could not get the lug nuts off. Called CAA and had Anthony here in under 30 minutes. He had the tire on in under 5 minutes. He was pleasant, professional and informative. I could not be happier with the service I received. (First time calling for this service)

      Such a good news story! ** ******* ** ****** **** ** ******** *** *** ****** ** *** **** ******* ***** ********** *** * **** ** *** ** ******** ** *** lost *** wallet. *** phone rang and it was CAA. Some lovely people found *** wallet on the ground and found *** banking info, called the bank and the bank obviously would not give out any contact information. Next they found his CAA card and called CAA. The CAA rep placed a 3-way call and connected ** ******* **** the people that had his wallet. They were able to meet up. ** ******* *** so grateful for the amazing customer connection that CAA provided!! That is called 'caring about your customers'!!! Service above and beyond. Thank you CAA!!! And specifically that Rep !!!

      *** ******* ****** ******** * *** ******* After 5 years of paying for a CAA Plus membership CAA would not cover my ********* 35 km tow to the body shop after an accident. CAA stated that when there is more than $2000.00 damage to a vehicle the towing cost has to go through the insurance. The insurance company only covers $50.00 of the towing cost. The CAA member has to pay the rest out of their own pocket. The vehicle was driven onto the flat bed truck in 2 min no winches needed no extra work for the driver. The damage to the vehicle was the two drivers side doors dented in. Drivers door still operational.
      CAA is only a partial roadside assistance program they do not have your back. *** *** ************* ** ****** **** ***** *** *** * **** **** ************ ******** ***** *** *** *** ******* **** **** ********** ********
