      Called the credit card company because they wouldn’t approve an important payment that made me lose Thousands of dollars and I was put on hold for 4 hours and 50 minutes

      This bank is the worst for customer service for wait times for declining your card for absolutely no reason and embarrassing you in stores asking you to reset your pin before you can even use your card when you had it for years when you go into the bank you cannot get any assistance whatsoever to assist you be more ********** is the worst I have overpaid my bill twice because of the fact they cannot keep their records up to date then I tried to cancel the card because of their poor customer service they want me to bring my balance to a zero which is like playing a game because even if you get it to zero they're still going to send you another bill that's going to say oh you owe 15 cents an interest so it'll take you about two billing Cycles before you can actually get it to zero and cancel the credit card and if you want to get a check because you overpaid oh good luck you're going to wait 15 days for that disgusting terrible service I have canceled all of my accounts with this company *** * **** ***** **** **

      All the banks in Canada are of no use. I always thought BMO would be different (don't know why) but same worst experience. All everyday transactions made online or through branch seems fine until you come across some different situation. I wanted to ask them about credit card annual fee for second year and options to avoid it. I called customer care for first time and wait time was more than 2 hours. Lol :) Luckily they provided callback option and I could talk to them. After finalizing my decision, I tried to call them again to take some action but this time again wait time was more than 2 hours with no call back option.
      Tried again next day same story, so had to write this. I still have to try few more times this week. So, wish me luck!

      Bank of Montreal is terrible. Call them and it’s a 2 hr wait. Go to a branch and they won’t help you with credit card issues. They send me notice of my balance but I can’t access my statement. ***** **** ****** ** **** ****. They have no clue on customer service.

      Worst customer service ever on hold for hours no one cares about your time being wasted I have already cancelled my commercial account and will be handing in my credit card here shortly.You would think that Darryl W. the CEO would read these reviews and do something about it ***** *** ** **** **** **** ******* **** ****.Goes to show you BANKERS dont care about the little people.It is a disgrace the way they treat their customers so I will voice my concerns with cutting my ties to this charade for once and all GOODBYE BMO.

      Been on hold for over an hour all to change a paiement date and nothing. Just wait music. Worst service in this industry by far!!!

      Well, looking at these reviews, it's obvious there's no point in me adding my information: BMO isn't paying any attention and doesn't care. I've been a customer for over 30 years and yet I can't get an answer to any written message I've sent them and I can't get through on any customer service line. I finally reached someone by calling the lost/stolen card line and he hung up on me when I asked for his ID number. ** ****** ** *********** ******* **** **** * ******** ********* **** *** ******

      There is absolutely no way to do online banking. I attempt to login and they say my account is frozen because the password needs to be updated, please call the number on the back of the card. I do. A 2 hour wait. Finally get on and the call gets dropped. They dont call back. Call again, again a 2 hour wait. Again the call gets dropped. I go to a branch who said they cant help me because they dont to credit cards, they are just the bank. Absolutely the worst. Changing credit cards.

      I recall when my parents walked me into BMO 20 years ago at the age of 15! And provided me with a bank card under their joint account, teaching me about money and responsibility etc. I have been a BMO customer ever since! Extremely loyal. Welp, 20 years later ( matter of fact it should have come sooner) I am here to say BMO, you have dropped the ball in the most horrific ways as far as the " customer care" you provide to your loyal customers. Remember, YOU ALL are housing MY money MINE... benefiting from MY MONEY.. and alot of it too... I mean ALOT! And this is how you treat your customers? Over the span of the last 9 months it has been a complete NIGHTMARE dealing with the agents ( if your lucky enough to get one to pick up the phone OR if you don't faint from being put on a power hold of up to 3 hours!!!) They blame all of this bs on " COVID" and " lack personnel" Its all ********. I have learned SO MUCH lessons on how NOT to run my amazing company launching soon. I no longer have interest in banking with this institution and actively looking for a better reputable bank to house my money and open my business accts. *** ******* ** **** *******! The amount of games, hang ups, ring around the rosy, promises to follow up and nothing etc etc etc I have experienced... its shameful. But I am no longer interested in the utter disrespect, you can keep that. I go where I am welcomed and treated like a customer.

      Terrible customer service. I tried to pay a bill for my friend, who is 92, deaf and blind. All I asked for was a teller to take the signed check and stamp it. She refused, stating that I do not have a Power of Attorney. What difference does it make? I did not ask for balance, or confidential info. I talked with the manager, who very politely told me that his branch will no longer accept the payment if I am taking it in. What is wrong with these people? My friend is in and out of the hospital a lot. If his electricity or phone gets disconnected, who will cover the re-connecting fees? He has nobody to depend on, but me. I do not live with him, I am just a friend and I am not visiting him every day. I called the BMO 800 number, I told them about my experience at the local branch and they said, there should be no problem to take the check from me. I informed the branch mgr. about this and he said he is not taking the checks from me, regardless of what Customer Service told me. I asked Customer Service to send me an e-mail to confirm it, so I could show it at the bank. They refused!!! So much for helping a ucstomer. I am glad I do not deal with BMO. Never had such a bad experience at any other bank, but this is outrageous.
