      BMO was advertising as if you open a bank account you receive $600.
      I was not happy with my bank and I put all my income and banking activities to this bank at July 2024. Then I ask about my $600 at October. They told me I didn't qualified because I didn't do all activities required on time. One of the biggest bank of the Canada openly **** to the people. **** *** **** ***** ****** **** ** *** **** * ********

      They have refused to give me my 16k owed to me after a month of non stop phone calls and “escalation “. No one can tell me why they won’t release my funds.

      after being a client for 45 years i was serve by very **** people today at **** ******** **** ottawa. have to wait 2 weeks for appointment and will be at different branch to have my money.
      bmo have change a lot for customer service

      40 years of banking with BMO. Very hard to remember a time when service or products didn't work out. Versatile banking products ****** ***** ******* and excellent credit products.

      ***** ***** ********* ***** They take hours to talk to an agent over phone, you navigate and listen to extremely long recorded messages, select choices. Then the agent ask you million questions to tell you at the end that the service you are looking for requires you to go to the branch.

      We attempted to switch all our business and personal banking switched to BMO
      After 7 months of frustration, run around , wasted money (hidden/extra fees; life insurance that we did NOT authorize; delays costing additional bookkeeping fees; carrying accounts in 2 banks during attempt to switch) and even more wasted time (and time = money!) we are cancelling everything

      *** ** ************ I paid $2,000 on my prepaid credit card and they lost it! I made the payment June 20 2024 and it still hadn't appeared on my credit card by June 26 2024. When I called BMO to check they said a payment of $2,000 was too high and it should have been refunded to the bank from which I paid the money, ******* Financial. They said they had no other information. I called ******* and they told me the same thing. The money went out of my account and to my account at BMO. There were no numeral errors or typos in any of these transactions. ******* had already started an investigation into this but I wasn't hopeful as BMO had done this a few months earlier with a smaller amount. At that time BMO simply did not reply to *******'s investigation. This time ******* said they could expidite further but only if I could get BMO to give me a fax number and name of a person in the BMO billing department. BMO refused to do this but transferred me to another agent where call dropped. So far, two banks are pointing fingers at each other and I'm out $2,000. ** ***** * ******** ********** ****** **** *** **** ****** ***** * ***** **** ****** ***** *** * ******* ** * **** **** ***** ***** **** ** *************

      I don't think it gets any worse than dealing with Customer Service at BMO, especially when you need access to your own money. Today, the representative pronounced his name "Ahman" with his accent, and I misunderstood, thinking it was "Ahmed." He became very upset, accusing me of discrimination - wait - for mispronuncing his name! It's ridiculous that you'd use something like this to prevent me from withdrawing my money. ********* **** ********** *** ****** ** **** ***** ***
