      They check your credit without consent!! And even tho the advertisements say it wont affect your credit it def does, they told me I was pre approved for an amount and got me to jump through hoops and do a bunch of stuff , send them private info and then when I showed up to talk to them In person about it (keeping in mind that I never said I00% wanted the loan as I was researching and getting all the info to make sure it was actually going to benefit us ) and it wouldnt have with a 33% interest rate like omg no my credit card doesnt even have a rate close to that ! And yet got in the store and was told I was not approved and that none of what I was told over the phone was accurate or even a remote possibility! Absolutely a scam company especially with the one person saying oh ya you can get this and just put right liers and doing a hard check on credit with our permission ( I explained immediately on first phone call that I did not want to do anything if it would hit my credit and was assured it would not Blatantly lied to !

      *****, we're very sorry about the confusion regarding credit checks. Our online loan quote tool uses a soft credit check to gain access to some, but not all, of the details required to make an application decision. A soft credit check does not affect your credit score because of it's limitations. However in order to provide a formal loan offer, a hard credit check is required and is done by the branch after they connect with you and receive your approval and indication you want to proceed with an application. If a request is submitted, and there is any discrepancy between the contact details in our system and what we receive, the request may not be successful, and you would continue to receive mail unfortunately. This may be the reason for your experience. If it's easiest for you, you can connect with a live Care agent via web chat at Fairstone.ca and send a picture of the mail you've received so they can ensure it is an exact match and that your removal is effective.The other factor to consider, as you don't note when your request was made, is that mail offers are generated many weeks before they are delivered. So if you submit a request today, you may continue to receive mail that is already in production/delivery processes. This can occur for up to 8 weeks after your request as we cannot intercept the outbound mail. If your request was made within that period, the mail you're receiving may stop in the next few weeks.Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist you.

      ******** ******** ** **** ********* **** ****** ** *** **** *** **** ******** I purchased an item paid it off before the deadline. Thinking I was all done to start getting calls about an over due balance. Ummm what? I paid my bill. Only to find out that there is a ***** annual charge for a credit card I didn't ask for. After fighting it and agreeing to pay the 21 dollars which I did..and was told I am all paid and good to go...a couple months later get a letter in the mail from the collection agency. *** ******* *** *** **** ***** I ****** at the woman on the phone at Fairstone...this is my credit rating you are messing with. My account is paid in full..which by the way the lady at fairstone even said..so now what..more fighting with these people who clearing don't know how to do their job. So this will be my week of once again dealing with ** *********** company. * ******* ** *** ** ******** *** **** ******* ********  I know I will steer far away should this company be an option.

      I had financing through ********************** (Fairstone) I paid it in full 2 years ago. I requested a letter of closure and was told I would receive it via fax in ***** hours nothing ever showed up I had to call back numerous times to be told that it will take 24 - 48 hours when I had already waited 4 days for it to come and I called now again and received the same information I then proceeded to ask for a manager which was then told I cannot be transferred to a manager they can put in a complaint request which I will then be contacted 24 to 48 hours later. I asked to speak to the people in charge of faxing the letter again was told that they do not take Calls. I need this letter as I am in the midst of financing a vehicle and this is the only thing holding up the process. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with any financial institution they are extremely ************** and have a horrible system in place. I will never deal with Fairstone again as this has been extremely unpleasant.

      Hello Team ,I am here to raise a concern that my *********************************************************************************************************** as I did not paid my monthly payments 2 time in a row that is why my plan got expired and the agent was h*** disrespectful and didn't even transferred the call to the manager even after asking him again and again and was not even giving me the email address to contact you guys after asking him again and again .I was never told by anyone from fair-stone or ******'s that this is a condition and nobody reads 5 pages terms and conditions trusting the company and hearing some good feedbacks .I have been using you with ******'s and also best buy and have been making the payments on time and closed a lots of different accounts and I am a very old customer of yours .I called you on customer care number last week to do the payment as I was having troubles paying it online and it was not connecting and that is not the first time even you can give it a try after entering account number and postal code when you will press the option of plans and when press 9 to contact a representative that is still not working and this is the reason I was not able to make the payment last time as well.I have payed every month till date and there is just one payment pending .I want that plan back that is why I chose ****************************************************************************************************************** connect to an agent that is not my problem .If it happens again and I am missing my payment 2 times in a row you can expire my plan and I wont complaint as I know this now.If you want me to use your valuable service in future please give me my plan back.If you wont I will pay it somehow but will never use your service again and will close all your accounts as soon as possible .Because this is not a pleasant experience .Agent also tried to sell me personal loan to pay off my plan

If you refer to your financing agreement, it states Finance Charges will not accrue on the purchase during the Promotional Period if the required minimum payment is made each billing cycle during the Promotional Period when due. If the minimum payment is not made when due or if a balance remains after the Promotional Period expires, Finance Charges will be assessed at the *** as shown in the Disclosure Statement.2.All retail customers are able to make payments online by adding Fairstone Credit Cards as a payee and inputting your account number. Did you encounter technical issues in this process?       I applied online for a 1500$ loan to pay off a credit card. I was told I was approved for 7500$ I told them I do not need the $7500 I just wanted the 1500$. The website stated that there would be no hard credit pulls and that it was very easy to get funded. The lady on the phone was very rude and asked me for all kinds of crazy information. She also asked for my landlord phone number and name, and 3 references name and phone number. She then said that she would only be calling these people if there was an issue. They did a hard credit pull and denied me a loan for $1500 without a co-signer. If this amount is greater than what you need or want to borrow, you can accept any amount lower than it as your loan, like the $1,500 you were seeking. The application process is two-fold. As you used our online loan quote tool, a soft credit check would be done. This grants us access to some, but not all, of the details required to make a decision on your application, so what you are provided is a conditional approval. If you formalize this quote to an application, a hard credit check is required.       Honestly.I went into this with a positive mind knowing consolidating my debt would allow me to move forward and establish better credit. The experience was great up until I received my money. I received my loan two days ago and it has already been a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. None of the cheques I received were accurate with the exception of one. I paid off one bill realizing I didnt have enough for a different bill. I contacted the specialist who helped me who stated I should have explained these payments to you because what was explained to me was that the debts I provided and requested a loan for would be covered. Now they are cancelling cheques and making it seem as though they have helped me. THIS IS NOT HELPFUL AND ID RATHER BE IN DEBT IT WAS LESS STRESSFUL. All they are doing now is messing with each cheque which doesnt pay everything off. *** * **** ********* ******* **** ****** **** **** ******* I was told when taking the loan I was PAYING OFF ALL MY DEBT. Which is most certainly NOT the case.

      I made my payments according to (before) their due dates. They started charging me insisting they never received payment. Several calls were made, I have proof of payment from bank statements, and payment was confirmed on one call (denied on the rest). They are still insisting they’re charging me anyways and when I asked to speak to someone else they told me “yes, you can speak to collections”. And told me he wasn’t supposed to give me any information at all and I should be grateful he told me anything. **** ******* ** ****** ** ************* ******** ****** *** ** ****** ** ** completely horrible with both paperwork and customer service. ****** **** ** *** ** ******** **** ********* ** *** **** ** paying hundreds of dollars extra and ******** to no end, with no resolution in sight.

      ** * ***** **** **** *** * **** * ******* Have an equal payment plan, which I have been paying way more than my monthly obligation, just to pay it off faster. We'll, 1 year I to it and I get billed an extra $21 , which shows as being SPLIT INTO SEPARATE PAYMENTS indicating a 31.99%interest rate!!!?? When I called to clarify, the 1st person I spoke to would not give me any information citing that the phone number I was calling from was not associated with the account - no duh! I work the same hours as their office hours and can't call from my home #. The 2nd person I spoke to when I called back told me it is a MANDATORY MEMBERSHIP FEE. I asked if I paid offwhat should be my balance immediately and closed the card what happens if don't pay the fee? Was told the begin to accrue interest on that IMMEDIATELY. I checked my paperwork, and do not see anything about such fees. **** * ***** ***** they do ****** you the 1st few months even if you are making payments on time. And it's mnot fairstone calling, it's a collections service that now has your name and #. Canceling this account as soon as possible and never shopping with the business I started with ever again!

This fee does apply to accounts with specific retailers, and is outlined in the Schedule 5 section of your financing agreement terms and conditions, under Annual Fees. Finally, the experience you describe as 'harassment' is certainly not a policy of ours, nor our intent. If our team is reaching out to you, it will typically be because you qualify for an additional offer, or there are account concerns to address. However, our Collections team would not be making these calls, nor would a ******************* unless the account was in a state of Collections.We're very sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.       My account has ALWAYS been un gd standing. In fact, this most recent statement had some new /other fee added onto it, yet again. Really tired of this! When I questioned the harrassing calls, the caller noted that the company sends names to them within a week of a payment due, and they don't get names taken off of the list even if payments get received ON TIME. Such nonsense. Will never borrow with this lender again

      I was frauded, some one used my information to apply for a loan here, i got the notification and called them 3 mins after i got it, was not able to get ahold of anyone cause it was the weekend, called first thing monday morning and was giving a number to call, called that number and was told to send an email that will take 72 hours to a week to get a reply and THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER FOR THE *********** how can this be in this time and age,, no phone number ?? i made a report to the police but they cant do anything until i hear back from god knows who at fairstone, by which time if they pay out what ever loan to who ever then what??
