      ******** ****** ** ************ *** ****** Claims denied multiple times when covered by work group benefit plan. Prescription medications not being reimbursed after submission with no reason why?
      Customer service is no help with their cycling technique to get not resolution to fix the problem.

      Unbelievable poor experience with Manulife, it was a nightmare. **** **** **** *****  It took 2 months and 3 days to transfer my RRSP funds from Manulife to a RRIF at my financial institution. My financial institution had to begin the transfer process twice. The first time my funds disappeared from my Manulife account 25 days after receiving the transfer request from my financial institution. After many days and effort on my part I discovered that instead of transferring out, my funds were put into a different Manulife account without my knowledge or consent. I had no idea where the money was, plus I was charged a multi-thousand fee for that transaction, and Manulife claimed to have no knowledge of the transfer request. Calling Manulife is awful, you get a call center with employees who hardly speak English, barely understand English, and have very little knowledge about the business of Manulife. After I was able to speak to someone higher up, it took an additional month to finalize the transfer. I have a list of many more things that happened during this transfer but will stop here.

      i have been employed with **** ****** for 21 years, insured with Manulife. Manulife has screwed up all my claims, repeated robot info on the phone, and no one knows how to analyze, interpret, just pass the file from 1 table to another. I have filed for ombudsmen too. TOO MUCH ************ with overseas agents, no one knows what to say about the policy, so much wrong info my goodness,** ** *** ****** *******. Everyone gives wrong information about my plan and i keep paying out of my pocket *** * ** ** ***.

The first mistake was my own, as I accidentally set up my account with the wrong transit number. Once I realized it, I quickly fixed it and advised them. At this time I entered all of my manual claims into the site, as my benefits were still active. At some point I had quit my job, but my plan was still active a week later and I was going to both direct billed and regular appointments. Eventually the employer contacted them to tell them my quit date, so while I was waiting for them to fix and re-issue my original claims to the right transit and bank account they decided not to pay me for 3 because I no longer had access to the site and even though they were originally processed and were to be paid to me they decided not to. Then there were 3 left they said were good to be paid back to me. Then they decided to lump 2 of them together and they didn't pay attention and reissued them to the wrong bank account again. While I waited for them to fix this issue I asked about the 3rd claim but they said it was missed altogether. Then while I waited for them to fix and re-issue the two lumped together I get an email saying I won't be paid for own of them as the service date was after I quit, but it was actually the date I entered it into the system. Now I'm waiting for my 2 last payments for 200.00 each and now they are saying I've been overpaid! I only received one payment originally when I first fixed my transit number. ***** **** *** * ******* ***** ** ***** ****** *********** **** **** *** ****** * ** *** *** **** ****** **** **** ** ********** **** ** **** *** * **** ** **** ** ***** ** *** ********** I have spent 22 days now talking to this call center in the Phillpines & I am getting a lawyer!

      I have been waiting for over 22 days for Manulife to process my claims. They are still pending. I called the company 2 times and messaged them on their app as well but they keep telling me that the wait times are longer than usual. Waiting for 22 days for your claims to be processed is not acceptable! I remember before it was 4-5 days maximum but now it's over 22 days...
      First I called them they said the wait times are 10 business days, after a week they said it's 15 business days and now they say it's 20 business days. **** *** **** ***** ***** **** * **** *****

      Manulife was going to join up with ******** **** Mart so they could be there PPN (preferred pharmacy network) and force patients to deal with ******** for specialty medications. They informed the public and there was so much backlash that they said they were not going to go through with the partnership (****) they are still forcing people to deal with ********, saying things like "if you deal with other pharmacies then we will only cover %50 or patients plan only allows 3 injections filled every 6 months for a migraine medication that is supposed to be taken monthly to be effective." We have called Manulife multiple times and have gotten multiple different answers. Got a special authorization for a medication and they approved me for 1 day, not 1 year or 6 months but 1 day. ******** *** * **** **** ** *** ******** ***** *** **** *** ** ***** **** ******** ****** **** **** **** ** **** ** *** *** *** *** * ******** **** ***** *** ****** ****** *** ****** *****

      I opened account with them online and deposited money online as well. I look for a physical place to go into but couldn’t find one. I am now informed over a week later that my account was declined, but they do have my money. I’ve been informed that they will send the money back to me, but they don’t have any specific timeline for the turnaround. I have done business with them before in the past and am extremely upset with how this was handled. After setting up the account they don’t say that you have to wait for approval. if it would’ve said that I would’ve never put my money in there in the first place. ***** ** *** They’re full of excuses and you’ll have to wait for your money to make it back to you whenever.

      I took a mortgage protection plan from this company. They put an exclusion clause to my coverage which prompted me to cancel it. When i tried to cancel it, twice my call after waiting for 20 minutes each just "dropped" on my third attempt i was able to connect to * **** **** Deana which gave me the run around.       Getting a benefits booklet mailed out to you is like pulling teeth.
      I called after being on hold for 30 mins) and was told request is still pending after 2 months.
      Manulife does not want you to know what your coverage is in detail! ********
