      06/05/23. I went in for the purpose of a urine test* was told on the phone by the front desk that the visit could range anywhere from $160-$600 depending on if I was a new patient. I trusted that it would be on the lower end* because I had been in before and I had my own ******* ***** looking for a new one* just needed a urine test. My regular doctor could not get me in that day until the afternoon and I had tutoring in the afternoon. When I got there I found that I was two or three months shy of having to register as a new patient since it had been over three years since Id been there. I was desperate to get a test and medicine to help with my symptoms asap. My blood pressure was a little high at the time and the Dr. wanted to take it again later when she came in and I told her that I have a Dr.* but she insisted on taking it and talking to me about it some. I was in there for a urine test not a Dr. visit. But they took advantage and charged me $506.00 for a OFFICE/OUTPATIENT VISIT* NEW. Cigna PPO made an adjustment and took off $75* which left them charging me $430.10* not including lab fees and medicine costs. I talked with them about it and there was no adjustments made. I wanted to speak with ***************************** the Dr. * but she was out of town. On one hand they are an urgent care* yet also take patients* so their reasoning to me was that well* we are an urgent care. I find their charges ridiculous and extreme for someone who simply wanted a urine test and I was clear about it* they took advantage of me* financially. Their receptionists are taught to be vague regarding costs: anywhere from $160-$600. Im looking for a $230 refund at least from them. Providing someone a urine test and prescribing a simple basic antibiotic should not cost more than $200 at the most!
