I am requesting a refund of $1,500 from Clippership because they rented us an ** that had many non-functioning components. I believe this to be fair for both Clippership and for me. The following are the issues that we experienced that are unacceptable in any **:The heater would not maintain heat in the ** overnight. This is because the ** batteries didnt hold a charge for more than a few hours. The lights start dimming and the water pump slows. When theres no electricity to run the blower, the heat shuts off. ****** is a cold place. We were freezing each night which made for a miserable experience in the **. Two deep-cycle batteries should supply power for days, not hours. These batteries appeared to be many, many years old. The hot water heater did not work most of the time. I emailed Clippership on 7/6 but did not receive the courtesy of a reply.Entering Denali, we lost partial power in the engine and the check engine light came on. We drove back to ********* at 40mph, which took an extra 2+ hours and was extremely frustrating and dangerous, especially in the 65mph zones. It took us 8 hours! I used the fix finder at ********* to discover that the ignition coil needs to be replaced. NO ONE should be rented a vehicle with ******* miles on it. Its flat out dangerous. The awning did not work. This is EXTREMELY disappointing as we were unable to enjoy camping in ******* unpredictable weather. It is the above issues that we are disputing. Through the rental, there is a requirement that the vehicle function as intended. We paid for a functioning vehicle. This was not delivered. And, when I reached out to Clippership via email multiple times, I did not receive a reply during our trip. The reply I received after our trip did not acknowledge the issues we had with the **. This is what needs to be rectified by Clippership.
