24 Mar 25, we drove a truck at United Auto Sales. There was no error lights/beeping when driving. When I switched to reverse there was a whirring sound initially. The mechanic heard the sound & said he'd trouble shoot issues. 29 Mar, I called the dealership, they said the mechanic checked the truck & could not repeat the sound..there no issues I purchased it & could pick up on Sat so they parked it. 30 Mar, my wife drove it home. After starting the vehicle the brake light was on so she asked them about it. She was told it was always on but nothing was wrong. 7 April, I took the truck to ******* Auto ************* called later the parking brake & tire pressure system needed an overhaul, cv axel was broken, & inner stub shaft was rusted. I asked if it was new or existing since the lights came on right after purchase & was not on during test drive. The repair shop replied this was a long standing ******* there is no way it wouldnt have been known by the dealership, the brake cables were zip tied up so they wouldn't show, it'll cost $2500-$3100. Following that I called United a couple times and on 8 April, I contacted then again and talked to the manager, ******* *****, he said I got your message, what do you want from us? I replied I want you to pay the repair costs since you sold me a truck that was unsafe & hid information telling me there was no issues with it. The manager said we didnt know that the truck had any problems. I asked you all dont do safety inspections on your vehicles before selling?. The manager stated we only inspect the ********************* of our vehicles. I replied in your inspections you do not check the safety components of vehicles whatsoever, & when looking at the ********************* you wouldnt see brake lines zip tied up?. The manager replied no only the engine and transmission. I the asked so are you telling me that you cant help with payment for the repairs?. The manager replied no we will not be paying.

I was buying a used ****** Rogue and they required a $550 payment to hold until I could pay the deposit. But life happened and I couldnt come up with the deposit. Long story short, they will not give back that deposit

Regarding a deposit issue, I would like to clarify that this matter does not pertain to a repair issue.

The deposit in question was not for a vehicle repair but rather to reserve a vehicle. This was clearly communicated verbally and documented via text messages. Additionally, both the payment portal and the receipt clearly stated that the deposit was non-refundable.

We are committed to addressing any concerns raised by our customers and ensuring transparency in our transactions.
