Last October, they came out to my house to see what work I wanted done and then give me an estimate. We wanted a handful of drywall sheets hung, a bathroom vent installed and a heat trace put on a water line. I had to call them a week later for the quote, it was for just slightly over $2300 and it would take just a few days. I paid the full amount to get the project on the schedule. I had to call back a week after paying, to find out when my project was scheduled, which was almost another week. On the start date my boyfriend took a few hours of leave from work to let the crew in, to find out that they were running behind schedule and they had no idea what was going on. It took over a month for them to finish the small amount of odd jobs we wanted done. When my boyfriend and I went over to inspect the house, we found that the work that was completed was subpar and dangerous. The sheet rock that was hung, had over a 2" gap at the ceiling and just not done well. A hole was drilled in a ceiling joist under a bathtub, that we specifically asked them not to do. An electrical box was drilled out for some wire but the hole was not prepped and the wire had cuts in the insulation. Also, somehow we had an electrical line going nowhere behind the shower. And the heat trace was not secured on the pipe, more that it was draped. We spoke with ****** (manager) apologized and said that it would be fixed. The only thing fixed was parts of the drywall. **** (owner) came out to look, apologized and told us that ****** had fell off the wagon and that the guy that was doing all the work was actually an assistant. **** wanted to make it right and we agreed on a reimbursement. I gave him a month since, at this point, Christmas was the following week. After the holidays, I contacted **** and he was on it but how ever the reimbursement was done, it did not work. I checked the bank. I called back, **** tried again but it still did not work. Now he does not talk to me.

Hey ****! This is *****, the estimator/owner over here at Fix It Guys. I am new to this situation, I recently returned to FIG in July and am going through everything and trying to correct/adjust anything that needs it. I saw your email a little late but I have taken action immediately. It took a few tries to make contact but I just spoke with ************************ over the phone and we have come up with a resolution. I will be writing a check in the full amount of the return and physically delivering it to her. I will follow up with you once the payment has been completed! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. The refund was neglected/forgotten for far too long and Im very grateful we get a chance at making it right. This will be corrected!
