      I have had the exact same experience as the previous person that left a review on here. The owner of this business has a store front in ******* just off I759 called Southern Fireplaces. I ordered two fireplace units from him and paid a required %50 deposit on 9-7-2023. He promised that the install would be before cold weather came in. I patiently waited and contacted him for an update on install status and product arrival (reason for deposit was to order product). He would not communicate with me with reasonable details of the agreement. He ended up blaming me for not being patient and he did not follow thru with any promises that he made. He did not ever do any work or services. I asked for a refund on 11-27-23. He ended up agreeing to a refund but he has not followed thru with it!! I have contacted GDS Police, GDS ************* and AL Better Business Bureau. Im in the process of getting these investigators to help with this fraud.

      I contracted ******* (the owner) to install a fireplace & paid a 50% deposit. The install never happened. ******* was unresponsive to attempts to contact him, refused to provide basic install information, refused to provide a new install date when the 1st was missed (not even a ball-park estimate) and, when finally reached, he was aggressive, argumentative, & insulting. He berated me, along with all of his other customers, who he said constantly wasted his time with unimportant questions & issues. He said he was too busy to deal with people, and the information I was requesting (dimensions for the install) were too time consuming. He finally agreed to give me the dimensions & a ball-park install date by the next day. Several days passed & he never got back to me, so I emailed ******* asking him to cancel the contract and issue me a refund of my deposit. I had to send a 2nd email, after which he finally replied via text stating he doesnt give ************ not getting an install date didnt justify asking for one. I texted back & told him I was no longer comfortable with him because of his aggressiveness and failure to respond & provide basic information. He texted back a long rant in which he insulted me, told me I wasted his time, & said I was the problem, not him, but he ultimately agreed to give me a refund. That was Nov. 10, 2022. After a week passed with no refund, I attempted to reach *******. Again, he ignored phone calls, voicemails, *************** He finally texted on Nov 26 & said I was wasting his time, that he sent the refund request to accounting, the refund was not being treated with *********** *** would get it soon enough. I asked him for accountings contact ********* just gave me his phone number. I left 2 voicemails at that number but got no response. Luckily, I paid the deposit through PayPal so, when it became clear ******* had no intention of mailing my refund check, I filed a dispute with ****** who ruled in my favor & issued me the refund.
