      I went into *********** Hallmark Subaru dealerships service department, which Ive used for, years to find it had been purchased and was under new ownership, no longer *** Burke. I requested a needed oil change and to have my windshield wiper fluid topped off. A charge of $58 with tax. The service department inspected my vehicle without my knowledge and presented me a list of recommended services, qualifying the need for these because of the excessive wear on my tires and brakes. It was presented in a way to make me feel as if my car was unsafe. The cost of these services totaled $1597.85. All related to tire and brake repairs and replacements. They made me feel as if it were unsafe to operate my vehicle under normal driving conditions.What they did not know is my family owns and operates a tire and brake services business, so I knew at a glance most of the recommendations were money grabs. I went to our shop the next day to have my car (2019 Subaru Outback 31K miles) placed on the track and inspected again.I still had up to 40% of the life left on my brakes and approximately 5K miles left in my tiresthey did not exhibit the excessive wear as described by Hallmark Subaru.With a new owner, a new manager in the service department, and my sales rep having told me that I was his first customer, and it being the end of the month, Im sure they were looking to hit their numbers. AND I believe I was targeted as a woman.Not every customer in that shop has the background knowledge and resources that I do. I consider this to be price-gauging, predatory business practices and I hope others do not fall for it.This is what gives dealerships a bad reputation and I will not return.

      I purchased 2023 WRX from Jim burke Subaru in aug of 2023. present day is 5-30-24 I have a crack on my windshield I tried to call *** burke for 2 1/2 days and. no answer. so I went to the service department the female rep said she could not find in my contract where I had any coverage for damage like that and I said that was impossible because I know I have it. I asked her if I have to go and ask the sales manager for proof and she said if that's what I have to do. which was very rude (let me say the service manager was behind her the whole time). so I left see the sales manager. upon seeing him he confirmed I do have coverage. the service manager somehow came over and got the paperwork from the sales manager and took his time bringing it back. meanwhile the rep and I got into it. she claims I was aggressive with her and I did not agree. and she refused to talk to me. when he did finally show up I did not shake his hand because this is not the first time he and I have had problems. I found out he called the company who does the claims and lied about the size of the crack on my windshield. they have treated me bad in the passband again now. I hav purchased 2 ******'s from *** burke and recently purchased another but not from *** burke. the service ***** and management is worst. hallmark auto group now own *** burke. I hope they resolve their issue with customer service and train their reps right.
