      I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding ongoing noise disturbances in my rental property, which are severely violating my right to peaceful enjoyment of the premises. Below are the details of the situation:Nature of Disturbances:The noise disturbances primarily consist of loud banging, thumping, and vibrations originating from the unit directly above mine.These disturbances occur frequently throughout the day and night, disrupting our sleep, daily activities, and overall quality of life.The disturbances have become increasingly unbearable and have caused significant distress and discomfort for myself and my son.Attempts to Address the Issue:I have diligently reported the noise disturbances to the apartment management team on multiple occasions, seeking prompt resolution.Despite my efforts and communication with the management team, the noise problem persists, and I have not received adequate relief or resolution.The lack of action and resolution from the management team is in violation of my right to quiet enjoyment of the rental property.Impact on Quality of Life:The ongoing noise disturbances have created an environment of constant stress and discomfort, impacting our mental well-being and ability to enjoy our home.My son, in particular, is severely affected by the disturbances, as they disrupt his sleep and overall comfort, hindering his ability to rest and thrive.Request for Intervention:I am seeking immediate intervention from the Better Business Bureau to address this ongoing issue and ensure that my right to peaceful enjoyment of the rental property is upheld.I kindly request that the BBB assist in facilitating communication and resolution between myself and the apartment management team to find a satisfactory solution to the noise disturbances.Desired Outcome:I aim for a resolution that eliminates the noise disturbances and restores a peaceful and conducive living environment in my rental property.

                      The complainant is Crowne's tenant in North Carolina. Crowne takes seriously the concerns of every tenant in its apartment communities. This tenant complains of thumps and bumps from the apartment above hers, which was vacant for the beginning of her tenancy but is now occupied by a mother with a small child. The noises she complains about happen during the day, not during quiet hours.


                       Crownes staff and the police have tried to hear these noises but have been unable to do so. Even so, Crowne has asked the neighbors to be more quiet, which they have agreed to do. Every time this tenant has complained, Crownes staff has promptly responded, endeavoring to understand the problem so that it can be addressed.


                       According to the tenants complaint to BBB, she seeks the elimination of noise, and though Crowne has not been able to observe the bumps and thumps she mentions,it would be unreasonable to expect an apartment complex to be a silent environment.Again, she has not complained about bumps and thumps during quiet hours.


                       Crowne has offered to allow her to move to an upper-floor unit when one is available.She has declined this. Crowne has provided an additional response separately with additional details so that BBB can see more details about the lengths to which Crowne has gone to satisfy this tenant.
