I paid for services that were not given to me. The school advertised the best of the training and it was the total opposite ,overcrowded classrooms, not enough vehicles to properly train. I did not receive any money for the stuff that were to be reimbursed or use the stuff that was to come along with the tuition and basically I did not learn pretty much anything. The services that were promised to me, I did not receive after continuously complaining to the staff and the branch manager to be moved to the automatic side or to switch school locations. I was refused to be able to switch school locations or to be switched to the manual side after the instructor told me it was OK, but the managers told me it wasnt and not to mention the hours that were proclaimed that I attended class are false because i have the supporting documentation where the instructors clocked me in while me not being there and had full knowledge I wasnt coming and that was on a numerous of occasions but i cant submit that much paperwork but if needed can provide t

I went to the drivers school to get my CDL license. I asked them what type documentation that i would need, they said drivers license, permanent resident. I said yes, i do have permanent residence available for 2 years and my drivers license and my social security card. They said, thats correct and that i could enroll in their school and pay the tuition. After the first week in the school you have to go to the *** to take the written exam. After this you can come back to the school to begin learning how to drive the truck. So i went to the *** to take the test and the *** informed me that you have to have a 10 year permanent resident card according to the federal law. They told me to go to the school and get my money back because i am not eligible to take the exam. I called the school and told them what happened to me and questioned them as to why they told me that i could enroll in school with the permanent resident status that i have and not the required federal law of 10 years. I told them that i wanted to be refunded my tuition fee entirely because i am not eligible to take the exam per the federal law. I was told that I had signed documentation and that I wouldnt be refunded money if I changed my mind. I didnt change my mind, but according to the *** i cannot take the test or drive any commercial vehicle. They said that they would have to charge me for the week that I studied at the school and only refunded me a partial amount. The *** told me that the school should have known the law and if you go to any accredited school that they have been through extensive training on the law. I didnt have a sponsor for school and paid cash up front for the school. ** the end I feel like I have been scammed because every time I call they say they will talk to the general manager and get back to me, but they never call me back. I get the same excuse, the general manager is sick. I feel like I am dealing with a person and not a legitimate school.

All CDL requirements are given at a state level, not a federal level. The information we relay to all prospective students is the same as the information provided on the ******* *** website, which is available to the public. According to the *** website (**********************************************************************), CDL license applicants are required to have: current driver license, Social Security card, 2 proofs of principal residence, DOT long medical form, proof of insurance, and if not a **** citizen, applicant must legally be in permanent status in ***************** and domiciled in *******. Nowhere on the website states the required 10 year permanent resident card, therefore, it is not a state requirement. 160 Driving Academy would not knowingly enroll a student that would not qualify to obtain their CDL, and according to the Alabama ***, this student would qualify with the information they provided ** upon enrollment.
