      My husband and twin daughters went for a Covid test on 12/15/22. We have insurance and my husband paid the co-pays at the time of service. A few months later we get bills for each of them for 336 each. My husband called and called and called to get it resolved. He ended up going into the ******* ** location 3 times to get it resolved. Turns out AFC put in the wrong birthdates when sending it to insurance. They fixed two out of the three. We were told they were all fixed. Fast forward a few months and we got a bill again for one kid. Called again and they said it would be taken care of and not to pay. We assumed it was handled. But yesterday I received a letter from a collection agency in my 16 year old minor childs name! Not only did they s**** up and bill incorrectly but they sent it to collection on a kid! Do not go to American Family Care! Absolutely criminal

      Truly the rudest most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered at any health care facility. Kindness and compassion go a long way and this is the type of place with providers who should not even be working in healthcare. I had a poor experience with front desk, ******** the provider, the nurse answering the phone in the back and the manager.

      They are very unorganized with their scheduling for appointments. They let a computer run that part of the business and is a big issue. Last week i waited for hours after a scheduled and confirmed appointment. I thought it may be a one off issue but today, after waiting 4 hours for my schedule time in line I go in to the counter and they tell me it will be another hour even though I got constant text messages saying my appointment time. I even watched the line clock and said I was third. After complaining to the highschool kid at the counter that was running the office I got nowhere. All he knew to do was look at the computer. When I asked him to speak to someone else he tells me there is nobody else. I dont think I could recommend this business to others.

      I went to AFC on 11/25/2023, everything went well through the appointment. The lab tech was backed up so it was taking some time to get samples and results. The physician was good and said it looked I might have sinusitis, but would check for flu and Covid. Due to the lack of lab staff it may take some time. He said he would call and let me know if the test results came back positive. He also said if I didn't hear from him they were negative. I did hear back and assumed the test were negative. I received a call on Wednesday 11/29/2023 to let me know I tested Positive for Covid. I would have given a four star rating if they had followed through on the phone call to alert me of the Covid test results. Very disappointed. Now my 94 year old dad has Covid. They need to do better.

      I came to AFC, in ********** **, on saturday, november 18, 2023. I was given an injection. My visit went smoothly, with no problems until then. I told the young white female ( I do not know her name so I am giving some what of a description), who came in to administer the injection, that I wanted it in my left arm. She would not give it in my left arm and the reason she gave was she had already charted that injection was given in my right arm. I told her she had not, yet, administered the injection and that if she had already charted injection given in right arm, she had charted something as done that was not done and that wasn't the truth. I told her that I had the right to choose arm in which I wanted to receive injection. I told her that charting can be corrected. She said that charting couldn't be changed to left arm because it had already been sent. I allowed her to administer the injection in my right arm but, because she would not administer the injection in my left arm, I feel that I was not treated as a patient should be treated. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the other employees, that I came in contact with, and rate each of them with 5 stars. However, due to the situation explained above, I can not, honestly, give the person who administered my injection, a satisfactory rating.

      I have had major issues with the billing department of this company. I have been dealing with a copay issue for 5 months. I have made 3 or 4 calls sent 2 e-mails (never heard anything back) and continue to get bills from them. Their way if resolving the issue is to just zero the account and not pay me the 15 dollars they owe me. If I could give zero stars I would.

      Took My wife to the American Family Care west side in *********. Young attendant that came in to treat my wife was very obnoxious to me when I mentioned that she most likely was sick with the same sickness that I was treated for there a week prior. Tested my wife for *****, influenza a and b and strep all came back negative. She wrote my wife a prescription for cough pills and sent us on our way. I was there a week before with same symptoms and was sent home with prescription for antibiotics and steroids. We are both seniors and don't appreciate that kind of attitude and treatment. I'm going to pray to the Lord that he teach her a little humility and empathy towards those that are sick.

      Do not recommend this ***** care i visited there 2 weeks ago could not access Patient Portal the never call you back when you leave a Message i had a Nurse practioner which absolutely did not care i asked about a Bone Density Test she said she had to ask the Doctor she never did ,now the told me to comeback to see the Doctor i asked to call me back what Day the Doctor will be there never called me back.really bad Service/

      ** refused to give requested steroid shot for sickness. The same shot my wife received a week ago for the same illness. He doesnt like steroid shots even they are often utilized regularly for treatment. I will be reporting him to ********** Blue Shield and BBB. I WAS DENIED MEDICAL TREATMENT THAT OTHERS ARE GIVEN. So sick and wasted 3 hours of my day to see inept **.

      My Wife, who is 72 years old because ill,because I have to work, I asked my daughter to take Her to AFC urgent care, *******, big mistake. They had my Wife sit in the car for 20 minutes then called Her in. They asked for proof of insurance coverage. My Wife presented her ******** card, Shes been on ******** for over 10 years. The receptionist was rude and snappy told her that it showed that She wasn't covered under ********! I felt bad, because I had my Wife Who at her age, and as sick as She was, to go to a place that was going to treat Her like that!
