      Completely unethical. Had an appointment today for 2:30. I booked online and was following the waiting room, received the instructions to head in on my way there so we were early. Got there and the doors were locked! One person in the waiting room, I called. After about 4 attempts I got the receptionists on and told them I had an appointment at 2:30. They told me they are closed. Ummm ok well I have a confirmed appointment so I told them I expected to be seen. Resuscitation seeing as there's still a patient in the waiting room you can't just decide when you'd like to choose. They asked the Dr and they refused to see us, I asked for them to connect me with a manager bc I expect to be seen as a confirmed customer. I was then HUNG UP on. Disgusting practices. I will absolutely never support this or any location. Seeing the reviews on Google, this is not an isolated incident.

      The receptionist at the front desk seems to be making medical decisions for me. That is SO UNACCEPTABLE!
      The Gadsden, AL office referred me to a specialist, appt is 3 months away. I need continuing care during this 3 months, since it's an infection... Receptionist yesterday said,
      "Well I don't know what we can do for you, we've already referred you."
      I'm SURE she did not know, since she doesn't appear to be a Dr., nor a practitioner, etc... So I'm out in the cold. Specialist office said - my primary is responsible until my appt with them. Afc was my primary, till yesterday. Unbelievable. Will never go back!!! And you shouldn't either.

      On 07/04/22 my husband went to a local AFC (only place open b/c of the holiday) for a dog bite. Mistake! The care needed was minimal, consisting primarily of evaluation and a ******* *******. So far, no problem. Because it was received as a treatment (vs routine vaccine) and in a clinic setting (vs a pharmacy), the booster ($**) is covered under Medicare Part B. We have been arguing with AFC for months that this is covered and we should not continue to be billed. Their response (when we could finally get one), "We are not credentialed to bill for that." Wait, what??? You can administer the treatment but cannot file with Medicare for reimbursement?? Never had this experience prior; never will again because we will choose our providers more carefully. Over the months, we have made every effort to contact AFC to discuss this via phone calls (endless wait times; once got connected only to have the "customer service" rep hang up b/c I continued to ask how we could get this resolved and she kept simply repeating the "not credentialed to file" nonsense) and multiple emails, including documentation from Medicare's own website on how this needed to be filed. No progress. We finally paid the $** (obviously their stonewalling anticipated this outcome). Buyer beware when dealing with this company. There are much more reputable urgent care options out there.

      I didn't have any issue with the service they provided (although it was July, and the office's A/C wasn't working). However, I got a bill 3.5 months later, with no reference to what was done, a mechanism to pay that differs from the how their site-specific website asks for payment, and one of the worst rolled out virtual agents possible. It also looks like, despite my having given them my insurance information, they didn't bill or document it, so I'm stuck footing the bill. I'm someone that is on the phone literally all day and cannot afford to call and wait for a response to make sure this bill is even legitimate - but as far as I can tell, there's no way to know for certain. What a dumpster fire of a company.

      This organization and all its franchises are a joke. Not only are the "doctors" completely incompetent at their jobs, they operate with complete disregard to the needs of their patients. And what's more, should you have a problem, it's unlikely you will get ahold of anyone to help rectify it. Leave messages for clinical staff- unanswered. Leave messages for front office staff - unanswered. No information on site for support. Track down corporate and try to leave a message with a patient advocate - voicemail full and you can't leave a message. Get ahold of someone else to leave a message - unanswered.
      Save your time and your money. Even if your arm is falling off, you're better finding a raccoon off the street to patch it up. They'll do a better job and you'll get better customer care.

      My family and I have used AFC since 2017. We have never had any problems and always received the best of care. I dont understand the bad reviews, probably only persons with complaints post here. I found the site when looking for the corporate phone number. It appears the ratings on Google are much more accurate.

      The location in east meadow new york is an absolute SCAM. I took a test and told me I had to come back in to get my results which I found weird because most places will email it to you. Weeks later I find out that they charged me for BOTH visits when they didn't perform a service on the second one. I simply went in and picked up my results. BE CAREFUL when dealing with this company. It's one thing to have the rest of the world rob us for our dollars and it's another to have a healthcare facility take absolute advantage.

      Went to find location and on the website for the Atlanta Hwy location in Montgomery, AL there was an option for Virtual Doctor. It also listed that location phone number. When we completed the form including husbands medical info and submitted it for an appointment for Urgent care virtual Doctor ,we waited for hours for someone to call. We then called number listed on the site. They said they did not have ***** to that system and know nothing g about how it works. It took a while to located another number that did not work. Now I am terrified my husbands info is out there to be bilked but no one has bothered to call or anything. There is no one to contact either. The Atlanta Hey location was rude and no help. Do not use their website or trust their info. I have a screen shot of the website and the info if needed.

      They had a free covid testing sign outside no insurance necessary yet they still are sending me bills for $150..and they already received $150 from my insurance...DO Not TRust This Place!!!

      Reasons not to go here:
      1. Copay of $*** with government insurance
      2. Blaring *** or inappropriate music in the care areas and lobby
      3. The RT who took my vitals and recorded my symptoms was rude, treated me like I am unintelligent child and acted like he was too cool.
      4. This facility refused to treat me for my *** and my ******** ******** - told me I had to pick one
      5. Dirty facility
      6. No paper towels in the dispensers within the care room.
      7. There was an unlabeled open exposed urine specimen in the collection box when I placed my specimen in.
      8. The urine specimen collections are not sterile. They are literally paper cups stacked upon each other exposed to the environment in the dirty bathroom.
      9. Proper patient identification and specimen labeling is not performed.
      10. Employees are texting on their phones at the desks.
      *I am a 26 year old Registered Nurse with over three years of Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department experience. I am extremely disappointed in the way that I was treated at this facility. I would never think about treating a patient the way that I was treated. If I were a manager at this facility I would be disappointed in the employees here (the RT and the PA). This place should be ashamed.
