      I gave this business a 1-star but would give it a zero if I could. Let me start by saying that when my wife and I walked into Bankston Motor Homes back in April of 2023, we had never purchased a camper or motor home in our lives. When we walked in the front door, we were greeted by what we thought was a nice lady named ******. She asked if she could help and I said, we are looking for 5th Wheel Camper that we can "Live In For A Couple Of Years While We Build Our House". She immediately replied, oh well, you need a Keystone Montana, they are the best for 4-season living. After visiting several places and trying to figure out what to purchase, we decided to purchase a ******* from Bankston Motor Homes with plans to live in it for 2-years. That was April of 2023 and we purchased the "best extended warranty they had that costed us $10,280". Fast forward into the winter of 2023 and the first very cold spell we had when the temperature was 22-degrees F, our furnace failed to work and we almost froze to death that first night. When I called Bankston the next day about it, the service department manager told me to bring it in and they would take a look at it as soon as possible. It could possibly be two weeks before they could get to it. I asked him if they have anyone that can come to my site and work on it and he said no that they don't have any outside repair guys. I told him that we live in it and can't just uproot our lives and bring the camper to them and leave it. I was told that they are sorry that is how they work. After a lot of words, they called me back and said, just get someone to repair the furnace and we will take care of it. Well, to make a long story short, this furnace has failed us 3-times and we are still waiting on Bankston Motor Homes to GIVE A DANG. Before you purchase an RV from Bankston Motor Homes, read all the reviews you can and don't listen to a thing they tell you. It is most likely a lie and they are just trying to make a buck.

      I purchased a 2015 Allegro Motorhome from Bankston RV in **********, *******. We gave them several days to go over the home and repair anything that needed to be repaired. While driving home I noticed it LISTING hard to the right, my Wife was following behind and saw how bad it was leaning. We took it back to them and they kept it for several days. They claimed they had fixed it, but now it is so bad it cant be driven. This is the last of July an they are saying that they cant do anything until the end of October. Can something be done about this, because this is our home and we have no place to live. We have driven it very few miles and it is very dangerous to drive. When we bought this home they knew we were going to live in it. ***** & **************

      Based on my experience, I do not recommend Bankston Motor Homes because 1) They ignored many of my attempts to contact them or schedule repairs.2) They refused to give even a vague time frame for repairs. Simply knowing ahead of time that it would be a matter of months (not days or weeks) would have allowed me to make temporary arrangements and would have prevented the immense strain those months put on my life.3) They did not promptly notify me with updates. Even when the repairs were finally done, I didnt find out about it until I called them about a different matter. 4) Even when I had proof that they had badly mishandled my purchase and repairs, they continued to treat me as if I were overreacting.The new (not used) travel trailer I purchased in December 2021 had a minor defect. When August 2022 came around I had never once used my trailer, and Bankston still wasnt giving me a time estimate on the repairs that I needed. I began talking to Bankston about buying it back. I would lose the thousands of dollars Id already paid on it for the down payment and for monthly payments, but I needed a solution that was faster than court so that I could get myself another form of housing/travel as soon as possible.When I finally had the attention of the general manager and the owner, they both blamed me for not notifying them sooner. I then shared with them the log I had kept of all my interactions with their staff, including attempts to make formal complaints on the hopes of escalating the situation to management. When they saw that log, they agreed to all my terms. It was nearly 9 months after my initial purchase when we met to make the final transaction. The owner acted as if he were being extremely generous to me, as if I should be thanking him, rather than expecting his apology.
