    Fyzical Therapy lied to me. After my ultrasound on Monday 1/29/24 at my rheumatologist office, I walked over there to book an appointment with them after. They made a copy of my insurance card and said they'd confirm my coverage before my appointment. I then booked an appointment for Thur 2/01 and left. When I arrived on 2/01, they stated that my copay was $20 according to my insurance. I booked my next appointment for Tuesday 2/6. When I arrived on Tue 2/06, I asked if I could pay for everything that I owe to date as I would prefer to pay as I go. I asked her again if all I owe is $20 per visit. She replied "yes, your co-pay is $20 per visit." I then paid $40 (for 2/01 and 2/06) and left there thinking I owed them nothing more. I received a notification of EOBs from United Health. I logged in and to my horror I owe those Fyzical people well over $300 for only 2 visits. Turns out they lied to my face when they told me they confirmed it would be covered by my insurance. They lied to me on 1/29, 2/01, and again on 2/06. I talked with United and my copay for physical therapy is $10 not $20. Furthermore, Fyzical isn't even in-network for me. They lied about everything. They will lie to you say it is covered and even lie about what your copay is. I am now stuck paying over $300 (you'd better believe they had me sign stating I'd pay what my insurance did not pay and I'm responsible for any amount on the ***** I have never had any office or clinic (physical therapy or otherwise) just flat out lie to me like that. They knew I'd go elsewhere if I found out they were out of network so they made up my copay being $20. Thank goodness I was sick and did not go to any further appointments and saw the EOBs before booking additional appointments with them. They're so unscrupulous to take advantage of people like this, especially people in pain. I could have done over 30 visits elsewhere for what they're charging me. I am beyond upset. They ought to be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of people like that and especially for lying. They didn't confirm anything with my insurance prior to my appointments and my co-pay is only $10, not $20, which proves they are liars. I have attached my receipt for paying them $40 (my two "$20 copays"). I have also attached the two EOBs. There is no break down for what all the charges are for. A physical therapy assistant or therapy tech is not a physician and I have no clue what miscellaneous is. I guess they charged for using a heating pad on me. I could have bought my own heating pad, actually several, for that price.
