They were assigned by my home warranty, FAHW, and came out. The came for our AC, with said the fixed it but it went out after less than 48 hours. I callled my home warranty and they reassigned the same problem to them and they have not contacted or will not answer my calls regarding of a time time to come back out. The temperature has exceeded over 100 degrees outside so that means my home is 10 times that.

I have used First American Home Warranty since we bought our house in 2017.
We have had ongoing problems with our air and heating every year. We have an old unit and need to have it serviced every year. Epic tried to convince us to buy a new unit each time. We sensed they were not trying to repair the problem but were trying to sell us a new air conditioner unit. We continued refusing to buy a new HAVAC; eventually, they would find a temporary fix.
A few days ago, our unit stopped cooling again. Epic is the only one the warning company will send out. They came out and said that we needed a new Coil that would cost us 3100.00 dollars. First American Home Warranty agreed to pay for the part, but we would pay 2600.00 for the labor. They said they would not be able to do anything else. They, once again, tried to sell us an 11,000.00 system. Epic quoted a price the project was going to cost 14,000.00. This cost did not include the 3,100.00 dollars from Home Warnity.
Their finance company accepted our credit application, but we felt like Epic was robbing us. We kept asking why they didn't apply the 3,100.00 dollars to the cost since we were getting a new system altogether. If Epic used the 3,100.00 the insurance company gave them toward the total installation cost 11,000.00, we would have paid 7,900.00. That price is competitive with the quote of 7667.00 we received from other companies.
I am canceling my First American Home Warranty policy, and I will never do business with Epic again! I Know someone I work with that had the same experience with this Epic and First American Home and paid 15,000.00. Please GET OTHER ESTIMATES!!!! They are saying a 10 year warranty which would not justify the cost. The system were were getting had a 10 year warranty on parts.

I was made to use this company by first American home warranty. Their tech came and did the inspection. Took apart my thermostat as well my heating unit. Left it all unhooked when he left. They then proceeded to report the unit had been repaired by a friend and that is was caused the damage. This is completely untrue. Now they refuse to return my phone calls to get a copy of the report.

This company is partnered with my home warranty company. I opened a service request because my heating unit was not heating. The technician arrived at the appointed time and when he looked at my unit, he immediately made an ugly face that I interpreted to mean that there was something bad wrong with my unit. I asked him what was wrong and he blew me off and told me to wait until he completed his inspection. I waited until he got done and then he proceeded to tell me that the unit I had was inadequate, even though it had been installed in 2014. He said it wasn't powerful enough and he recommended that I replace the entire unit. He also said that the problem I was experiencing with it not heating was because the coil was clogged with dirt and debris. He said my warranty wouldn't cover cleaning the coil and if I had him clean it, it would cost $1200. And then there would be a 70-90% chance that something would break and have to replace it anyway. He then called his sales manager and the conversation I witnessed made me feel like I was watching a play. The script was well practiced. They wanted to pull my credit and sell me a full unit for $12 - $14K. I said no, wasn't going to do anything until I spoke with my husband. When I told my husband the situation, he called his HVAC guy and was told that it doesn't cost $1200 to clean a coil and that I shouldn't even entertain the idea of replacing the unit. I then received a notice from the warranty company that they had authorized the repairs. No repairs were covered under warranty as it was stated that the coil needed cleaning and that the total cost to clean the coil would be $3800. Big jump in price. That amount is insane! My husband then checked the coil and what was needed was a good vacuuming because the previous occupants had the coil stopped up with dog hair. Simple solution. My heater is working very well now. I don't ever want this company in my house again. They are definitely out to scam people.

After reading the other reviews here, it appears that Epic Mechanical, via their sales manager, lies and BS's everyone, not just me. It is easy to sum up all of the reviewers here. I consider myself fortunate that their sales manager lied to me and could not communicate like a man, so that I did not end up doing any business with them.
Courtney, Mackenzie, Natalie, M.J., IA, Jonathan, Kelsey, and Heather: an even 100% of us reviewers experienced the same lousy results with Epic Mechanical.
BTW, could not agree more about how leaving even a one star rating far exceeds their due.
