    I participated in an online auction on Tuesday Jan 16. I am the winning bidder on one item, Lot 395a a vintage bolo tie. The auction house is claiming the ability to remove the lot from the auction after they sold it. They claim there was a last minute dispute with their consigner and they attempted to remove the items in dispute from their auction catalog. They failed to remove one of the items from their catalog and instead they sold it to me at public auction. They sent me the invoice memorializing our contract the next morning. They are thus far refusing to fulfill their contract and release my property. *************** made an error and is refusing to correct his error. Mistakes happen, he needs to step up and fulfill his legal obligations. They are now refusing to correct their mistake and apparently expect me to just walk away. I want the item I purchased.

    To Whom It May ******************** you for bringing this issue to our attention, and allowing us the opportunity to respond.

    We understand and empathize with the bidder's frustration with this situation. Unfortunately, after a disagreement between the consignor's family members, we received a cease and desist order for several items in our January 16th auction. The bolo tie in question was one of those items. It is never our intention or policy to pull items from our auction catalogs once they are listed, however, this was beyond our control. We have apologized to this bidder multiple times and have explained the circumstances. We hope that this brings a conclusion to this topic, as we are not able to change the circumstances surrounding it.
