Hi, On November 2nd I parked my car in front of my mothers home while I ran inside to grab my laundry, at approximately 10 pm, someone from the homeowners board calls the private towing company to have my car towed. My car was temporarily left in the parking lane in from of my mothers home. When I call the company the first guy I speak to- after getting the number from the police station as to where my car is explain he has no idea where my car has been towed to and to call back in the morning- he is very unprofessional and hangs up the call. 30 min later a manager calls back and explains I can get the car in the morning for $250 but he will take $50 off because the previous rep was being rude. When I pick up my care they demand $200 cash only and refuse to give us a receipt or any paperwork from the tow. We follow him 5 min down the street to pick up my car which has a large black spot on the drivers side mirror. The company explains this **** was already there but refuse to send the picture because they are too blurry and pixelated. They say they cant do anything because the **** was there- however they have no proof- like I said, I didnt sign anything to pick up my car or even able to get a receipt from my purchase. Long story short- I have a damaged car and no proof of anything and they are refusing to give me the info I need. Im a single mom and this whole process has been so much to handle. They also have no set prices for tows, one person was charged $115 per googles review and I was charged $200! There is no price break down anywhere, is this even legal??
