      Carpet project from Dec 18th, 2024 to Jan 2, 2025. Bedroom out and ready for install on Dec 18th but carpet was not sized right. Comedy of human errors by Baker Bros caused us not to use our room for 16 days when it was finally installed - Late! We wanted a small rebate ($200-$500) for our 16 days of inconvenience. See final two memos between ****** (operations mgr.) and ourselves.Jan 9th, 2025 (****** to the Perrys)Hello *******,Thank you for your email and taking the time to respond. ***** forwarded your email to me for review. Im happy to hear that you are satisfied with the carpet and installation, along with your experience with your Design Consultant. We strive to make every buying purchase go as smooth as possible. We wouldnt be in business as long as we have been (80 years) if we didnt. Unfortunately, a glitch in our computer system caused a delay in your installation, and we certainly offer a sincere apology for this inconvenience. Our contract is very specific that we do not guarantee start times or completion times on installations. As ***** previously advised you, we will not be able to offer you the compensation you are requesting.Please be aware that we do not take threats lightly and are fully prepared to vigorously defend ourselves as needed. ****** ********* Operations Manager ************** (******* to ****** *********)******, this is certainly not a threat. What are you going to defend your mistakes? We feel we need to share this information our seniors in our ************************ This was the fault of human input on your part not a computer glitch. You had to pay for extra carpet because of YOUR errors and but we suffered 16 days of precious time over the *************** Year. As Operations Mgr your lack of process control did not catch the error until the first ********* re-measured the room, & rolled the carpet out on our driveway on Dec 18th!.       Thanks for sharing your exeperience and for your email to us copied below. Clearly you made good on your promise to tell the world if we did not pay you. We appreciate your patience on some of the challenges and also are pleased that you are very happy with the finished product.Please rethink compensation do to us for our time and dysfunctional house to live and have guests over the holidays because of poor management at Baker Bros Carpet, or I will have to post in our Leisure World residents private on line posting site that reaches ***** homes and that is ***** people, and give Baker Bros Carpet a bad review. I will be waiting to hear from you either way. I must state that I am very happy with the carpet, the installer and ***** *****.

      Wish I had read these reviews and complaints prior to returning to this company. First experience here was short but positive. The Second has been a total disaster. Zero follow-through on anything. Many times I was told I would be called with an update on when the tile was ready. Never did this happen. Everyone I spoke with provided a different time for when the tile would be ready. Expectations were off throughout. Was finally told that it would be in no later than on a Friday. Didn't happen nor did they follow up. Was promised it would be there on the following Monday and that they would follow up. They never followed up. I finally followed up and was told that its in and they would call me back in 10 minutes to confirm that I could pick it up. They never called. I follow up an hour later and was told they would check on it and call me right back. They did finally call back a few minutes later to tell me that it wouldn't be there until Wednesday. This basically wasted an afternoon waiting on failed follow-*** and promises to find out it never was even there. Now I also have installers that I have to pay and will also be sitting idle. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK. THERE ARE MANY OTHER OPTIONS OUT THERE.Must be a new manager or new staff since the last. This place couldn't be more poorly ran and such a difference than before.

      Clearly the expectations were off. The tile was ordered on 7/26 and the information given to the customer via email was that it would take **** business days. We had hoped it would be sooner, but unfortuantely it was coming in from ***** and freight was a bit delayed. We could have done a better job of following up since it sounds like we committed to call backs that did not happen. We appreciate the patience on this and wish that the tile would have come in sooner as well. We hope to have an answer today and will reach out to the custome.

      ********* review was right on. We should have walked away at the very start. They require all the money b/4 the job is finished. We are, also, waiting for four weeks for a simple transition piece. When we finally were able to communicate our concerns with the rep, she told us it would cost $167 more and after we paid them, it would probably take three more weeks. (They would graciously give us credit for the transition piece we paid for.) Then she hung up on us! Worst customer service ever.

      So that we can tell the rest of the story, the existing wood flooring was installed over a tile floor. In order to properly install the new flooring both of those floors had to be removed. There was no way we could know that upon initial estimate (as installing floors over floors is not accepatable). Removing those floors created a height differential that the standard molding we ordered would not accomodate. In order to finish your job properly it required a custom made molding which unfortunatley takes time to produce as it is custom made for your specific job. This is not a "simple transition piece". Also, your treatment of our customer service team member over the phone was not something she needed to be subject to. She took your email information, thanked you for that and then hung up. We realize this may have not gone as smoothly as we all hoped, but what we encountered with a floor installed over another floor was not something we could have seen or anticipated. We are processing as quickly as possible, but you are correct the custom made molding is taking some time to produce. If this is your definition of the worst customer service ever, your have been very lucky in all other business transactions.

      Worst customer service ever. If they write up an *********** incorrect, if you didnt check everything they ordered & figure everything out on your own, its your problem, not theirs since we signed the contract. We gave them our contractors material list that clearly spelled everything out on what was needed.They made no effort to correct their error, even though we spent over $6,500 for flooring & just needed this one extra piece they didnt include in the order, which would have actually cost them under $10. Hopefully, the bad reviews we give them for horrible customer service will affect their bottom line a bit.

      Thank you for your warm remarks across the internet. I am sure our entire locally owned and operated company and all the team members we have employed (and continue to employ)for 77 years will apprecaite your best wishes upon the company.. So that we can be clear once again, what you ordered and paid for, you received. If you needed an extra piece, we offered to order one for you but you refused to pay for it. We did not short change you on a single item. You did not get charged for anything you did not receive. We are not sure why we should be responsible for ordering an extra piece, when we completely fulfilled the contract. Continuing to place bad reviews on the internet will not change any of that. It is unfortunate you feel the way you do and are acting out the way you are.
