I signed a contract for a dumpster in early 2022, waited over a week for delivery. I was specific on where my dumpster was to be placed. The dumpster was delivered to the middle of all 3 directions of my gravel driveway. I was pregnant and could not move it myself. The company promised to move the dumpster. When they did, they dragged it across my gravel yard, making massive indentations in the landscape, and placed the dumpster behind several large rocks and under neath a tree. Not only was this placement not where I asked, but the dumpster could not be opened due to low tree branches and it wouldn't be able to be picked up unless a truck ran over large landscaping rocks. I finally set out Orange cones at the front of the property where I wanted the dumpster and it was delivered correctly. Once delivered, I was supposed to receive service weekly on Thursdays. Between late February and the end of March, my dumpster was serviced a total of 3 times, including the last pick up. I had constant communication with Republic services about the missed pick***, including text messages with a supervisor. I was promised dozens of additional pick *** that never happened. Even the supervisors were surprised sometimes when the additional pick up they ordered were ignored. I was told my dumpster delivery fee would be waived and I'd be credited for all the missed pick ***. I finally asked to cancel the contract for failure to provide services, which is allowed without fees. The supervisor, ***, who was well aware of my troubles said I'd be charged for canceling the contract. I've dealt with many other reps and supervisors since then who ALL say they understand what happened and agree my **** should be much lower. They all promised they will review my account, fix the problem and call me back. I've never received a call back from March to July no matter how many times I call and my **** remains at over $500 despite being credited the delivery fee and only receiving 3 pick***.Business Response

I changed my garbage hauler from Republican to another company. I later received a **** for $56.09. $30.00 for container removal, $14.77 for fuel/environmental recovery fee. $4.37 for total solid waste management tax. $6.95 for total COU solid waste management fee. I paid the $30.00 for the container removal ( even though i thought that was an unjustified large fee). I did not think the additional fees were justified. I tried calling the company and asked for a manager. After 5 minutes the employee hung up on me. Now I received a threatening letter that they are going to turn my account over to a collection agency. They also threatened legal action, and reporting derogatory credit information to major credit reporting bureaus. They said that liquidated damages and/or early termination fee will be assessed. I quit this company because they kept raising their rates and were charged way over any of their competitors. I feel these other charges are ridiculous and hope that you agree. On about 22 June 2022, I called Republic Services to cancel my garbage collection service. I offered to return my trash and recycle containers to them, but was told I could not due to COVID restriction. This is the only place I know of that has not opened up to the public. On 28 June Republic picked up my containers. On 7 July, I noticed that Republic took $190.35 from my checking account for 1 July - 30 September billing cycle. I called them, they admitted the mistake and reversed the charges the next day, and I asked what my final **** will be, and was told $30.25 for container pickup. Well, I got my next ****, and shows I owe $102.80 without any explanation of all the other charges with the exception of being charged $30.25 each for the 2 containers picked up, and I do not have a past due balance, although this invoice states that the same $190.35 that I had that charge reversed is past due. I believe the *** I owe them is $60.50 for 2 container pickups and that's all. Yesterday when I called them, the person said it's all correct, with the remainder being a fuel surcharge. I do not believe this, as it should be stated on the invoice.Business Response

I started my service with republic in 2020 and ended it in 2021 due to them over charging me every single month . When Id call customer service it would take an hour to get anyone every time and the billing issue would never be resolved . I spoke with several sups and still the billing issues would not get resolved . I canceled my service in July 2021 . The company came and removed the 2 cans and charged an additional $60 removal fee . I paid it just to never deal with them again . I had an additional trash can that I had purchased 10 years ago and moved it to our new house since we had purchased it ( it was our can ). Fast forward till July 2022. After canceling service with them july 2021 and using a new company Republic comes on to my property ( I have several no trespassing signs) and they take my paid for trash can without any letter , email or phone sent prior to taking it . I call them and they tell me it was not my can it was theirs and they have every right to take it but they should not have came on the property. They promise to not charge the pickup fee of $30. I received a **** yesterday for the pickup fee . I called today and instead of taking the fee off they set a payment date to auto pay out of my card ( that was still on file ) on august 9 . I speak to a sup( after an hour hold) and he was extremely rude and told me that I was still setup for auto pay even though I wasnt an active customer . After questioning him in regards to how they can **** me when I havent been active for over a year he literally says thank you for calling have a good day and disconnects all he call . I am currently on hold again to have my card removed from the account so it is not charged without my permission. Someone needs to investigate this company ASAP they are doing extremely fraudulent transactions and have unethical practices. I cant believe that they are still in operation.Business Response

For several weeks our service has been missed for waste pickup. We've been calling and emailing endlessly (hours on the phone for the last 3 weeks and 3+ emails sent with no response) and want to cancel services. No one is responding to us. We've reached out via phone, email, ****** reviews, and social media. We're just trying to cancel, and it is predatory that they refuse to call us back. Now we will be stuck with the service for August as well, and we've been trying to cancel all month to set up service with a new company. We need to be contacted ASAP to cancel services, and we need to be refunded for the forced service we will have to take in August due to them not answering, as well as the services that were not completed per our service agreement in July. I tried to secure services for trash removal and recycling. The services never started because the trash and recycling cans were never delivered. I would call them and sit on hold, and he told that they would cancel our service. A customer service rep said that if cans show up, just keep them out for them to be picked up. One trash can showed, we left it out, and it was never picked up. We started receiving bills for the services we canceled. When I try to call the company, I get hung up on or a busy signal. I would like them to stop sending bills and pick up their trash can that was never used.Business Response

I called for service from Republic services on May 31st. Never received trash cans until June 19th. Received **** days later for delivery of cans I never received and service from June 6th.Called them and was told account would be credited. Never was. I cancelled my service July 12th. I have called every business day since I received my first **** requesting they pick up the can I never ordered then to remove all cans and recycling bins.Received another **** for more money.Was told they couldn't close my account for 2 weeks.Called again and asked to speak to a supervisor. First our trash was picking up later and later. Then they called to say they wouldnt be able to pick up because of mechanical issues but said to leave our bin out and they would pick up. They never came until a week later. The following week we received a voicemail with the same message. It was at that date that I called to cancel my service which was June 14. At that point, they had only picked up once during the month of June. The last week of *** was the first time thing skipped a pick up. When I received the **** early June, there was no credit. They expected me to pay a full 3 months even though they already missed a pick ** in June. After I changed service. It took 3 weeks for them to pick up their trash bin. During those 3 weeks I received a **** with an adjustment and they claimed I owed $38.16 but they picked my trash up once before I canceled and in my mind that was already paid for in my previous billing cycle when they failed to pick up our trash the last week of ***. Needless to say I did not pay that invoice. Fast forward to today when I received an invoice for $99.25 where they charge me to pick up THEIR bin, another late fee, past due amount and fuel/enviro recovery fee. They failed to provide the service I paid for and never gave credit where it was due. I am extremely disappointed and do not recommend them to anyone!Business Response

I was out of town and missed an invoice this company sent to me while I was out of town. My billing cycle ended at the end of June, and I did not pay the invoice due to no longer needing their service. I called in July to inquire where to bring the trash can and was told that I was responsible for the July ****. I have not had my trash picked up in 8 weeks and have been on the phone for over an hour every day, and every day I'm promised it will be picked up today before the end of shift and it never is. I have a family of 8 and i weeks of trash starting to overflow in the road and they still will not make pick up and am charging me for these 8 weeks. I have been to the local office and talked to supervisors and managers and keep receiving false promises of it being picked up. I would like to have my trash caught up more than 1 pick up would be needed and I would like a refund applied to my **** for the time I have not been picked up.Business Response

The customer's address and account information was incorrect in our routing system. The customer was part of an acquisition completed in June for a small hauler in the market and the data we received from the company had address errors in it that we have been addressing as quickly as possible. ******************** have connected with the customer, updated the address in our system, confirmed it is added to our route sheets going forward. A driver was going to go to his location today to handle all the trash he currently has on site. In the future, this customer should not experience future misses as his address information has been updated.
